Hi all,

I have some of the batteries Jay sells for use with the GLV2, as well as the charger he sells.

I have another charger that is designed for RCR123a LiFePo4 batteries, and I'm wondering if someone can tell me whether it is safe to use this charger with the AW batteries Jay sells.

Here is the charger I have. I originally purchased it for use with my old (and now obsolete) Prodigy V1:

2 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable LiFePO4 Li-Ion Batteries with AC/DC Smart Charger

It is specifically designed for the exact kind of battery that the AW's are... I just want to make sure it is advisable to use it to charge them.

Thanks!

no, it's a lifepo4 charger only, so it will charge LiFePO4 batteries up to 3.6V and they'll rest at around 3.2V when in use. you want a charger, like the GLV dual charger/ Ultrafire WF-138A that will allow you to charge the LiFePO4 batteries you already have (in 3V mode) as well as the AW ICR123A and other 3.7V 16340 batteries in 3.6V/3.7V mode. you'll want those batteries to come off the charger at about 4.2V, not the 3.6 that the tenergy LiFePO4 charger is designed to charge them up to.
