Hello there!

Today I bought my first e-cig and it came without a charger, it's only with a usb charging wire. I'm charging it with my phone charger. So I was wondering if it can cause any problems, like exploding or stuff like that. The cig is from VapeOnly and the battery supports 650 mAh.

Thanks!

P.S: What amperage should I use for charging?

It won’t explode, but the micro usb2 design spec has wear issues. The two ways around it I know of is to
1: get a decent battery charger and a few batteries (preferred)
2: get a cable with a magnetic breakaway head (fasttech has em for cheap) and leave the head in the mod

A 650 mah battery sounds like a built in battery, something like an eGo pen style. A 1A wall wart should be fine. The device will only draw enough current to recharge it. Wall warts don’t push current, the device draws current. So really any extra cellphone wall wart will likely be fine.

I ordered a magnetic charger from FT to save wear on my devices that I have to charge via USB, and I'm really glad I did. I will probably use it on my cellphone as well as my clumsy streak doesn't tend to apply to cellphones.... I think mine is over 4 or 5 years old... But its USB port is showing signs of wear and tear... :)

If the manufacturers website doesn't state the info, you could email supplier perhaps. I used ego types for several yrs and preferred a point 5 amp charge to a full amp. Got a little warmer than I liked @ a full amp. Things have changed tho. As long as everything doesn't get hotter than your phone, things should be fine.
