Charging 18650s via Usb?

Hello,

I was looking to get some advice on charging my 18650s when I go to a 4 day festival this summer. A solar charger isn't really an option since I don't want to leave them outside and have them get stolen.

I'm thinking getting the nitecore um20 charger and hooking that up to my powerbank to charge the batteries, would that work? Would that be safe? has two outputs, one at 1a and the other at 2.1a.

Head down to Wally World and pick up a 100 watt inverter that plugs into your vehicle's 12v outlet (otherwise known as a cigarette lighter). They're fairly inexpensive and work quite well. You can then use your normal charger in your vehicle by using the inverter.

Something along the lines of one of these. Schumacher XI14 Power Inverter - Walmart.com
