Charging a eGrip

I have an eGrip OLED and I'm wondering if charging the device at 50% battery capaticity is bad for the battery.

I always wait till the device locks itself when there is almost no battery left.

Actually it is better for battery to charge it when it is not near empty and stop charging it when it is not full yet. So, no problems with charging if it is at 50%, or 30%, or 60%.

Hm, it's a bit difficult because the eGrip doesn't precisely shows how much charged it is.
