So I just bought an Aro Winder 2000mah VV Battery and it's compatible with my eGO charger.

Problem is, it doesnt seem to charge. The light on the charger stays red with no flickering green as it usually does with all my other batteries. I've had it connected to the charger for hours and its still red. I carried the Aro Winder back to the vendor and they were oblivious to this problem and I got a replacement, but the exact same issue arises. What am I missing here? It doesn't make any sense.

Someone please enlighten me on what's going on.

Best regards.

Have you tried using a different charger, wire, or wall wart. It could be supplying incorrect voltage/amperage for charging.
My USB mods won't charge off my cell charger, but will charge on many others.

I've tried using both of my ego-chargers (both are USB) on my cell charger, and directly into my laptop, and other charging mounts but to no avail. My ASPIRE CF's are equal in mah's as the Aro Winder and charge perfectly fine.

replacement what? battery or charger?

That's commonly called an eGo charger and they're not fun to use.
I used to plug it all together and in the wall, then sloowly screw the battery on- stopping when it's green.

Never want to overtighten this stuff or it pushes the connections away from each other.

Replacement of the battery, I will edit my post to be more precise. And yes, I'm aware of that. The chargers are working fine with other ego-compatible batteries, and I haven't overtightened it or anything.

I just read up on your product and it reads that you must have it on 4.2 for a full charge, maybe fiddle with that dial a bit to see?

Other then that, it's pretty much down to having to pull the positive post up on the battery a bit to make the connection and maybe you're just getting crap knock-off egos.

    Good luck

I've read that as well and I will try to fiddle around with the connection pins on the battery as well as the chargers. And thanks for the help!

new batteries always seem to take alot longer to charge the first time... even my 18650's exhibit this quirk...
just to be sure, check out charging the battery with another charger if you have one and give it time.. ( several hours)

I've tried exactly that for multiple hours. After 15 hours of charging, it should be fully charged to say the least. I don't know if I've just been unlucky with the two identical Aro Winder batteries or if I'm doing something wrong. As I said before, all my other batteries VV mods has been charging with no problem throughout the years and this is the first time I've encountered this problem.

Im having the exact same problems. i have tried different chargers and have 3 of these batteries. they all do the same thing. light stays red. never flashes green to show its charging and never goes solid green to say its charged. are these batteries defective? or garbage? i bought these new and they wont charge.

You can pull up on the battery post or sand down the front of the charger to make sure of good contact. Do you have a meter to test the chargers?
They aren't the best batteries, Vision or Joyetech seem to be good buys. How about an Istick or EgoOne?

i know the charger works because i have a 1300 mah smoktech vv battery and it charges it perfect. light flashes red to green to show its charging then stays green when its fully charged. how do i pull up on the battery post? also i just notice now that my new 2000 mah "smoktech" batter doesnt have the authentication logo/sticker on the box and on the bottom of the battery it doesnt have the smok logo. i think i got sent a knock off :( has anyone else seen these? or know if they are fakes?

Good that you have a known good charger. Pulling up the post is easy. Paperclip or tiny screwdriver. Just grab the post on the end and GENTLY pull it up a few hairs.
What works for me best is plugging the charger in first, then slowlyyyyy twisting the battery on until it turns on- stop there.
Yeah, the Ego world is full of knockoffs. Vendor should take it back no problems.
