Charging question

First time charging batteries here. I have two brand new 18650 batteries on a nitecore i2. It looks like they are going to take longer to charge than I'll be up, and I don't want to charge them while I'm sleeping. Will it damage the batteries to stop the charger and start it again tomorrow?

It should not damage the battery if you remove it before fully charged as Li-Ion does not have memory effect.

Additionally, your i2 will stop charging if your battery is fully charged and also has over-charge protection, therefore, you can leave it on the charger overnight.
