I'm concerned about charging my mod with internal battery safely. I have a Tarot Nano and I charge it with the cable that came with it in a surge protector that has USB ports. Is it possible the ports are putting out too much power? How would I know?

Someone on a facebook had their mod with internal battery explode while charging and now I'm nervous! I thought internal batts were safer. I always cringe when putting my batts for my alien on my nitecore charger and take them off. I'm afraid I'll damage them.

I'm on disability for anxiety and this is not helping! I don't want to be too anxious to vape!

I'd bet on that mod being dropped or abused . It's almost unheard of. we can point you to a higher quality mod that would better the odds

My Nano came with USB cable only. I did buy a $30 Bestek surge protector. Best I could afford. Hoped it would be safe for my chargers!

The mod that my friend on facebook had that blew up was a Smok stick. I just got worried about internal battery charging.

I'm looking at my surge protector. It has different A amounts on the 4 USB ports. My nano is plugged into "Auto 0-2.4 A" My mini-volt is plugged into "1A"

Sounds like your charging is correct for you mod, the surge protector should be auto adjusting to what the nano requires. If you want to be extra careful you could place the mod in something like a pyrex dish while it's charging, but unless there's a malfunction in the mod, you should be okay.

The charger is in the mod and determines the charge rate, the usb wall wart/surge protector is only a power source. As long as the voltage is correct and the wart/surge protector is rated for at least as much current as the mod draws you're fine.
