Forgive me if this has been asked and answered. I searched and started wading through search results, but I just don't have the patience for that!

I just got the Volt X2, 900 mah. JUST got it, took it out of the mail box about an hour ago. This is the first passthrough I've owned. Every battery I've gotten in the past has had some charge, enough to at least try out the battery. I'm getting nothing. I plugged the passthrough cable in to the battery and my PC. Still nothing. Shouldn't I be able to use it while it's charging through my PC? I've tried adjusting the battery end of the cartos (I tried a Volt carto, and couple of other kinds I have on hand) and I'm still getting nothing but air. Yes, the cartos are filled!

How do I know when the battery is fully charged?

I want to try out my new toy! :(

Hi sorry there is an issue...

Are there any LED's of any kind on when plugged in or when you try to use it?

and what kind of cartos are you using?

now that it has been plugged in for a while does the orange led on the button still flash ...or does it remain constant when pressed?

Yes, there is a flashing orange or red around the button when I press it, and there's a steady blue light on the bottom where the USB is plugged in.

I've tried Volt cartos, which I confirmed work on my standard manual Volt battery. I've also tried Kanger standard resistance cartos and KR808-DM1 cartos, which also work on my standard Volt and my Elite 808. None of the cartos are working on the Volt X2 yet.

The orange light on the button still flashes, but only when I press it. As long as I'm pressing the button, it keeps flashing in 3-flash sets. It stops flashing when I release the button. The orange light didn't flash at all when I first connected it to the charger.

ok well it is not a carto issue.

it should only "flash" when dying...

Something must be up with the charging port or cable... what do you have it plugged into? have you checked that all the connections are tight? if so you may need a new one... you can just email CS and since you just got it today they should just send out a replacement to ya ....

I first plugged it into a USB port on my laptop. I can't leave it plugged in there for long though, because I have two cats who chew through any cord that isn't covered in wire loom, and I don't want to cover my passthrough in wire loom, LOL. Right now the passthrough cable is plugged into my standard Volt charger which is plugged into a wall outlet (in a room my cats can't get into!) I was planning to plug it back into the laptop tonight (in said room that cats can't get into). Is the standard Volt charger alright, or will I need to get a different one?

no it should be fine... the blue light should go out when it is fully charged... and the orange LED on the button will light but not blink when it has a partial charge.. if this is not happening you will most likely need a replacement :(
