"Unfortunely the evidence needed are deaths caused by people breathing the mist from the e-cigs."
Actually, we have have TONS of data regarding the mist from e-cigarettes. We have their use in inhalers and nebulizers for 60 years, and we have the use in fog machines, in fact fog machine
juice tends to contain mineral oil. Home units operate at ~400 watts and consume ~1 gallon per hour. A heavy e-cig user "might" consume 2ml/day @ 5watts or 1 gal in 5.2 YEARS.
Nicotine has been used an in insecticide at 40% for over 200 years. Second hand vapor is .5% at the source based on the NZ study, far less than 1 serving of egg plant.
In 5 years there are no reported deaths from e-cig use, which is better than the nicotine patch, gum. Also compare to Chantix, where users have a track record for suicide, murder, and arson, and also has only been on the market for 5 years. Not to speak of increased risk of heart attack (Sonal Singh, M.D., Johns Hopkins). And this is preferable?
