have you guys ever thought about adding this vb feature/hack??

We have IRC. Check my sig for more information. This is in place of a chatbox or similar.

eh yeah? well if thats what you guys want here. chatbox/shoutbox can be put right on the main page of the board or in any forum, top or bottom. seems more simpler then that IRC stuff.

There used to be a chatbox on the main ECF page. It was largely unused. The IRC is a better option at this time........

...And always will be in terms of moderation.

I'll be getting someone soon to hopefully code up a vB plugin so all you have to do is click a link and it'll take you to an online IRC client.

^that already happens if you click on this link when using Firefox. It may work in other browsers as well (definitely not IE), but Firefox for sure. You can add that functionality to Chrome by installing this extension, which is a heck of a lot simpler than configuring IRC (not that IRC is all that difficult either)

wow. the chrome addon is WAY easy. that just makes my laziness that much better.. I don't even have to login to a shell anymore. :>
