I have a Volt Spinner and I'm using the x2 clearos, T3 & Mini T3's. I want to try a lot of different eliquid samples from eliquidsamples.com that someone posted. What does everyone do when they want to try different samples but don't want to waste clearos? I tried rinsing out my x2 clearos but I could still taste the previous flavors. I know you're supposed to soak them in cheap vodka or vinegar but I just rinsed them and soaked them in hot water. Could that be the reason why?

I'd recommend buying multi packs from fasttech. You can get them cheap and they're usually crummy, so you won't feel too bad about wasting them. I got 6 "T3's" for like $12 (they're not really T3's). They suck, but they work so I wouldn't feel to bad about putting an awful flavor in them, exclaiming "I'll never buy this awful crap again!" and tossing them in the circular file.

Do you know if the volt spinner is 510 threaded? or is it 808 or some other threading? If it's 510 you can get a dripping atomizer like this: SmokTech Bridgeless Atomizer - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes they're designed so you drip a few drops in at a time and vape, and you can easily change flavors. If it's not 510 threaded you can probably also find dripping atomizers for whatever threading it has.

Try cleaning your clearos in vodka or some other clear, high-grain alcohol - let them soak about an hour or so (it's not an exact science) then rinse in hot water and allow to dry overnight.

To sample juices, I use cheap eGo/510 threaded cartos such as these from sweet-vapes.com...these are cartomizers, not clearomizers, so they have batting material that acts like a sponge, but they are decent and cheap enough to try a lot of different juices - http://www.sweet-vapes.com/shop/dis...color_plus.tpl&product_id=1272&category_id=37

Fasttech has these for a decent price also: $2.48 CE5 Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer - with scale indication at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I use these on my Vision Spinner and eGo batteries.

I'm pretty sure the Volt is 808 threaded. SmokTek sells 808-510 and 510-808 adapters, you could always get those. And I agree, FastTech would be the best place to buy cheap, throwaway clearos. They might even sell the adapters I mentioned, I haven't checked, because I had already bought mine before I ever heard of FastTech.

Smokeless Image sells an 808-threaded Nano clearomizer that only holds 1 ml of juice. I used those for months to sample flavors. I just emptied and shook them and added the next flavor to try. AltSmoke sells a 510-thread alternative.

I use a dripping atomizer currently.

+1 on this, The SI nano's are 1.99 each if you buy 10. Hard to go wrong at that price.

I too opt for the dripping atomizer. Less hassle IMO. When I'm feeling lazy I also have been know to just fill a carto tank with a small amount of juice to sample it. I can then fill the rest if I like it, or switch to something else if I don't. However, the flavors do need to be similar to do this.

I just ordered some of these sample bottles and I'll be using the eroll to test them out. The eroll uses small cartridges that hold about a .05 ml of juice. I can vape a little unflavored nic juice to clear out the taste in the atomizer and easily move onto the next flavor. I ordered 8 or 10 sample bottles and 4 of the little needle tip caps they offer to use on the sample bottles. I also picked up a few flavors like Pie Crust and Vanilla Ice Cream juices to try. If it's something I like I will order a bottle of the DIY flavoring. I'm looking forward to trying some of the flavors that have intrigued me for so long. Having a direct link to the vendors is great too and if I want to order I will order via the link on their site so they get the credit for the sale. Hopefully to encouraging other vendors join in and add their juices to the site as well.

I've been looking into the samples, too, and thinking about how to try them. Normally I use T3 minis, but I've certainly had some truly awful juices taint a coil in one try, and there's no sense in getting inexpensive samples, if it costs $2 per coil to test. I've tried the nanos, and I just don't think they rinse out well enough to give you a totally clean vape the next time. If you have some old cartos, I think pulling out the filler may be the best way. I don't happen to have any old cartos on hand (tossed them all when I moved to clearos completely). But I DO still have the atty that came with my eGo mini kit many moons ago, plus a bunch of 50¢ cartridges (plus, you can pull out the filler with tweezers and rinse it out completely. I think maybe you can even replace it with a bit of cotton ball.)! If you don't have an atty and a couple of cartridges, it may be worth getting. They are super cheap!

I may go that route and get some carts from SI. I seen the video that bikerbeagle posted. Seems easy enough. I don't quite understand what you said about having and atty & carts. Aren't the atty's INSIDE the carts already?? What are atty's?

OK, there are attys, carts, cartos, and clearos (let's not get into RBAs, DCTs, and tanks!) A cartomizer (carto) is an atomized cartridge. A clearomizer is a clear atomized cartridge (clearo). An atomizer (atty) is what provides the heat and is used alone either for inserting a cartridge, or dripping (drops of liquid directly on the coil, no cartridge, wick, or filler). In the "olden days" (although I haven't been vaping all that long, comparatively), most set-ups were an atomizer that you stuck a cartridge into. Most people use cartomizers or clearomizers these days. That's a rather simplistic explanation, and I'm sure someone could have done a better job with it, but... :)

Thank you. That makes a lot of sense. The only thing is the carts. I thought carts and cartos were one in the same. So basically, I don't have to worry about carts (cartos without attys?) as I'm only gonna get the cartos (with attys already in them).

Right. Although back to the original question about testing flavors, it might be worth picking up an atty and some cheap carts to test.
