The black stuff that was on my ego booster started to flack off so I just removed the rest of it . Now though it looks dull I though it would look cool if I gold plated it so I am looking for a cheap kit to do that . Here is what it looks like now .

Well the lighting wasn't good it looks like dull steel between two cromed piece of the booster and top of battery . I seen the video of the guy at IGOTCA69 I think it is who does all the reveiws doing it to the top and bottom of a provari . Looked pretty easy . I might just paint it or look for a nice sticker to use but gold would be a cool look .

Honestly if you're just wanting to make it look a little better I'd paint it or get a skin for it. The PV that IG gold plated is worth alot more to begin with. I don't think it would be really cost effective or worth the time to do that to Ego equipment.

Would be a bummer if you spent the effort and money on it and the mofset went out on it a week later.

Agreed, an ego is not worth the effort or money to plate. You could buy a new battery in whatever colour you choose for less. Or, you could save your funds to move into your first mod, there are many great vendors out there to suit your tastes and needs. Besides, when you buy cheap, you're only gonna end up buying twice. About how much are you wanting to spend? You might surprized at what's available.

I looked at the prices for a cheap plating kit and yes too expensive for this . I would like to dress it up a bit the dull steel under the black coating that I peeled the rest off is really dull looking . Looks like plain steel and not stainless steel . It maybe SS and just needs a polish but a cool paint job will make it unique .

Might want to consider truck bed liner. It's fairly cheap at about 10 bucks a can and you can use it for other things also. Would definitely be unique, it's easly to apply, hides minor flaws, very durable and would provide an excellent grip. Just a thought.

I think it's also available in several colors
