I want to give sub-ohm a try but I do not have the budget for anything high end yet. I'm eyeing the Kraken as well as a IGO-W and expecting a little smoktek UDA to be delivered today. I'm buying the Kraken locally just in case it needs to be serviced (fast tech has reviews of problems with that model)

Anyway, I picked out 3 mechs. I want to use 18350 as well for when I go out (not for sub-ohming of course) and was wondering if anyone here has experience with Fast Tech's versions of these. If I was not ordering from China, I would not worry so much. Returns sounds like it would be a PITA.

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1449605 Nemesis clone

The Origin has "kick", whatever that means (room for a fuse?)
EA-II has a side button, which I think I would prefer
The Nemesis clone looks the best, has great reviews, but for $10 more. Me getting back into vaping, along with xmas present buying, I seem to be getting $5 and $10ered to death. (anyone remember the old days when it was nickel and dimed? LOL)

right now I would be after the brass origin, it looks sharp
the nemesis from ft has pretty good reviews.

a "kick" is a small chip you put in a mech and it turns into a VW mod. many mechanicals include an extra body part to allow room for it and an 18650 battery.

returns to fasttech are actually pretty painless. you send it to Miami and they take it from there.

I have a nemesis. I like it. But its not my go to device because of the sensitive firing button. U can't stand it up unlocked because the weight will cause it to fire. I got my start into mechanical with the sentinel clone from fast tech. They're dirt cheap and mostly reliable. Stick with building single coils to start. That'll teach U the basics. As far as using 18350 batteries, carry several spares. They run dry quickly, depending on your vaping habits. Would be best to just stick with a reliable 18650 battery. I carry 2 spare batteries with me at all times, and usually only have to change out once during my workday.

When I bought mine from FT it was $5 cheaper IDK why the increase. After playing with the switch setup it doesnt fire stood up with 350's or 650's it just takes some fiddling. Also a dab of blue loktite on the bottom pin helps it will back out pretty quickly without it.
Very happy with the mod overall.
