Just thought I would share this with you guys...
I'm working on a ZNA inspired DNA30 mod at the moment but in the meanwhile my eVic failed and had to go back to joyetech (2 weeks after sending it back I've heard nothing from them
... but that's another story) so I needed a vape fix.
I went back to my old eGo but the vape wasn't doing it for me anymore so I knocked up a quick box mod out of a long square ABS plastic project box I had knocking around. That worked but was a bit big (length) and I had an unfortunate incident where I put it down and it's own weight was somehow enough to depress the fire button (I did test for that and I couldn't get it to do it) but "Sod's Law" says ..... happens so it destroyed my kayfun lite due to overheating and melting the insulation!!
I found some suitable material and was able to fix up the kayfun but thought I better find a better, safer, smaller solution. So I was in my office and see this old LED torch I had sitting on a bookshelf. I bought it years ago but it was never very bright so it just sat there unused. So after taking it apart to see how it went together, half a day figuring out how it could be done and another half a day on the tools and getting the parts I came up with this....

170mm top to toe and 28mm DIA at its widest point!
I'm using the original torch on/off switch as the fire button but I had to modify it to convert it from a N/C to a N/O mementary switch. Only issue at the moment is that it takes quite a bit of force to depress the button so I think I will change it to an electrical (as opposed to mechanical) switch in the near future to stop my finger fatiuge lol.
What do you think? Overall cost was only the price of the torch and my time. All other components was stuff I found knocking around in various places.
If anyone wants to do something similar I will post some assembly pictures and improvements that I found along the way.
