I recently got a zamplebox subscription and supplement that with a few extra bottles from B&M every month. Currently, I'm not happy with my Zamplebox subscription or how the flavor profile is supposed to work so I'm thinking of looking elsewhere for my liquid.

I'm not interested in any of these sites like Mt. Baker Vapor that require you to steep for nearly 3 to 4 weeks after receiving it before you can even use it. I'm looking juice I can just open up and vape. Although I leave the dropper off all my new juices overnight and then shake them the next day.. I don't see it as necessary with store bought premium juice.

And what exactly is premium juice anyhow? My impression is any 15ml you have to spend 12 bucks on from what I've seen which is the norm at every Vape Bar and B&M I've been to out here in so cal.

Are there online retailers where I can get juice for half the price? So far I've only found 4 all day vape flavors that I would consider buying in bulk from Ruthless E Juice and Kilo Eliquids and I've tried easily over 30 flavors so far.

Thanks guys!

Even the premium pre-steeped juices benefit from steeping. You can find juice that you like without steeping it. Some juices people prefer fresh and others like it better when steeped. I bought some premium juice that is supposed to be pre-steeped and I found it greatly improved after a couple of months.

Well, I leave the dropper off my bottles overnight and shake them once a day until I get to them. Is this the proper method? If so, I haven't noticed any difference so far.

What's the difference really between premium and well...other options? Must be the pricepoint I guess.

When I think of steeping, I think of taking the lid off for a bit or if they are in plastic bottles, you can squeeze the air out of them which will allow new air to get in the bottle. Then shake them vigorously once or more a day. This goes on for weeks. Over time the juice will steep and will improve. One good way to know your juice is steeping is when the color of it darkens a bit. This darkening is due to the juice oxidizing from the exposure to air.

I think premium juices are about the skill with which they are made, rather than the price point. There are plenty of pricey juices that aren't as good as others on the market for much less.

My success in re-purchasing a flavor I have tried is about 10%. I look for samplers. Vape Wild is about the lowest I have seen.

I used to buy ahead of time. I used to in "blocks about every 2-3 weeks. I wouldn't get to vape the block because I was vaping a previous block of juice. When the juice arrived I just put the bottles in the juice cellar and let them steep. Then when I finally opened a bottle and put some in my glass tank, I held the tank up to the light, swished it a bit to check for smoothness and even color and sniffed it. Always good. Gotta love the juice cellar.

Great hobby.

Thanks for explanation.. I've seen many different variations of steeping over the net so I just wanted to make sure I got the general idea. What sucks is most of the manufacturers don't sell direct and deal only with wholesale.

I'm still looking.. even at ECF's suppliers and links. There are about 4 flavors I'd really like to buy a 120ml or more of from Ruthless and Kilo Ejuice.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely take a look at Vape Wild right now! I'm looking for more simple less complex flavors.. more fruit orientated I think.

There is a sales point to "mixing it fresh" for the customer. Many Vapers, I believe have juice cellars. Probably have to call/e-mail the vendor and ask them. Some have pre-steeped for immediate sale in a store. I have in a couple stores where the salesperson did not know what steeping is.

My Baker Vaper, I called them, and they had ones from cancelled sales and when the sales of flavors. They prepare a bunch ahead of time to ship faster.

My favorite vendor is Ahlusion, and they have a pre-steeped line, called Express. I haven't ordered any of the Express juices, but I've heard they're very good. I've also heard these are steeped about two weeks, but still improve with further steeping. The Ahlusion juices are fairly subtle, and I prefer juices that are bold, but somehow, they are vibrantly subtle and make my taste buds very happy. If you want to check them out, just google ahlusion and make sure to spell it with the h in ahlusion. They are reasonably priced and better than any other juices I've tried.

I order eliquids for myself, my daughter, and sometimes her boyfriend online. Despite steeping recommendations, whether from the vendor or other fans of the flavor, we have found that some eliquids are good to go right out of the mailbox, whereas others need to steep for varying lengths of time. It all depends on how you perceive the taste, with the equipment that you are using.

You can also use a sonic/ultrasonic cleaner to speed up your steeping time, Heat is supposed to work wonders too (like hot tap water, not straight up boiling chaos.) Ive used heat a couple times to homogenize E-juice that my local B&M mixes fresh, and it deff helps. I just bought myself a sonic jewelry cleaner the other day so im gonna try a few cycles when I get a juice that i feel needs steeping. I planned on trying it with Slotter Pops by Lost Art Liquids but thats vapeable out of the bottle.

Yes, a crock pot on low for 3-4 hours. I put the bottles in a ziplock bag so the label doesn't soak off. Then, let them come to room temperature over night. I think it gives me about a weeks worth of steeping. I do the rest, as needed, in a drawer.

Fruits, often, are quick to finish. Yes, right out of the mailbox. But dark juices, I believe, are longer.

i think best buy depends on quantity and flavor choices. Smaller bottles seem popular from MBV, competitive prices no doubt in the under 30ml sizes. Over 100ml sizes try vapewild or vapemoar.
I find flavor intensity is just as personal of a choice as anything else. SOme like milder in sub-ohm; some like max out flavors. Many variables above and beyond steeping . Steeping imo will only enhance flavors just so far....I also see mixed posts over paying for extra flavor shots, yet in my case if Im familiar with a vendors flavor and know it to be mild by my own standards I may go for both- extra flavor hits and steep.
Hope you find your ideal vape. Cheers

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. While all the steeping and ultrasonic cleaner talk really does sound fascinating, I'm much more interested in finding some more retailers.

So far I've I decided to try out Ahlusion, Vapewild and Vapemoar. I will probably either pick out a few flavors from each site or look into their sample packs.

At this moment I have more juice than I know what to do with (about 9 15ml bottles) but as I mentioned before, I'm seriously considering canceling my Zamplebox. Not necessarily because I didn't like the service, but more because I think I'd rather choose my liquids from now on rather than fill out a flavor profile from one of these subscription based e liquid services that doesn't work well half the time.

While I know what most people do is just order their liquids 1 to 4 weeks in advance when they order from places like MBV, for me that's not acceptable as I just want to vape it directly as it arrives.

@Susan~S Thanks for that! That thread is especially helpful!

In between DIYing, Ahlusion is my go-to vendor for juice. They are the only line of juice I have found that I love more than 2-3 of their offerings. Their Lemon Vanilla Cake is always loaded up in one of my tanks.

Fan Club here on ECF: Ahlusion LLC Chat Thread. Lots of members (all enablers, every last one of them) who would be more than happy to give you recommendations based on your preferences. Though @I'mnotZak had to correct me regarding the enabling "rumors," he prefers to think of these folks as "knowledge providers and wallet wreckers".:)

For every $20 you spend (after sale price/taxes/shipping) you can request a free 10ml sample. Ahlusion LLC - Sample Policy. Three week after you receive your order you will receive a 15% coupon code that you can use on your next order. If they are running a sale you can stack your coupon on top of whatever the current sale discount is.

That lemon Vanilla cake sounds delicious! I still have never tried anything with lemon, lemonade, or lemon deserts. Thanks for the heads up about the thread! I find if pretty hilarious that you call them enablers!:D I'm reading through the thread as we speak! Thanks so much!
