I want to get my brothers starter kits for Christmas, but I'm on a tight budget and they haven't shown too much interest in switching over since I told them about PVs. I'm thinking 510, because that's what I have and I haven't had any problems (at least no more than normal) Who has the cheapest starter kits? Any cheap ones with PCCs instead of wall chargers?

I started with the 901's and was very happy with it.

Though your intentions are noble to help family members kick the smoking habit, you may want to rethink your gift idea. First, e-cigs are not 'magic bullets' to smoking cessation. Second, there are costs to the gift recipients that they may not wish to incur (i.e. e-liquid, replacement atomizers, replacement batteries...). Third, they may never use them and you are out $40 or so per kit and you may be wildly disappointed. Lastly, your brothers must really want to make changes to their lives before they may be willing to try methods to personal harm reduction.

Continue your discussions with them about PVs and get them a gift certificate.

I am buying 3 of my family kits for Christmas, but they have all expressed a strong interest in e-cigs - 1 doesn't even own a computer, and the other 2 only have one for the kids and are fairly computer illiterate.... so I know that I am going to end up being the middle-man for all of them - even though they live a distance away from me and I don't see them often.

I agree with breakfastchef: think long and hard about this. If they aren't showing any interest, is it worth it? Thwy may even deliberately NOT use it because they feel you are pushing it on them!

Agree on the cignot suggestion - they have a pcc kit at a good price as well.

Saw this last night (thanks boxhead) and looks like a good deal as well (better?? xtra batt! 6mo. warranty!)

I agree they probably won't quit, or even use them regularly. My little bro has used my 510 whenever we go anywhere with my daughter, so I figured it would be nice for him to have one of his own when he takes her places or is home and can't smoke in the house. My older brother constantly receives odd and novel things ie multiple Jesus action figures, the penis pokey book YouTube - Penis Pokey Book
a little ashtray that looks like a coin pouch and is self extinguishing, and a mirrored disk that uses sunlight to light cigarettes. So even if he doesn't use it or quit smoking, I think he'd add it to his collection and his friends who haven't seen one would get a kick out of it.

I love my 510 enough that I debated on getting my mom one for Christmas even tho she hasn't shown a great amount of interest in it. Got to thinking, considering she is so non-chalant over the whole deal IF I did get her one, it would be a 2 piece cartomizer PV because I am almost sure the maintenance of the 510 (refilling, dripping, cart mods, etc.) would not be something she would do. But alas I totally had to rethink my idea because like said above, it is a cost that she probably wouldn't keep up on well, additionally she would always forget to order cartomizers, or keep spare parts. So she's just going to get a necklace. I would advise anyone that is considering giving a PV as a present, make sure it is something they are genuinely interested in, and keep their needs and wants in mind rather than your own preferences. My 510 is perfect for me, but I don't think my mom, dad, or neighbor would like it at all and would still be smoking analogs.

Please understand that I am only pointing out some real issues you may need to deal with if you purchase 510 starter kits for your brothers. If it were me, I would be thrilled with such a kit. I am not trying to suggest that your intentions are in doubt, only that you think hard about what the outcome might be.

Totally true. I bought one for a friend and she always has an excuse why she is still smoking analogs. I ordered a 510 for my sister, she has tried one already and really loves it. Her friend gave her a mini 901 and told her it should last for a couple days!!!! And, she didn't even give her a charger.. But, the little bit of vaping she had, I can tell she will be into it. I guess you really have to want to quit. (I used to HATE that saying-it's an addiction! Who WANTS to quit LOLOL)

Thanks for the info on the cheapest place to get a starter kit. Sometimes when I cruise the forum, I get my questions answered when someone else asks. This is for me. I ordered a kit that comes from China 2 1/2 weeks ago and I still haven't received it. The vendor is very nice and is resending it. I may go to cignot and order some stuff that I can use with my Joye 501 when it arrives. Maybe I'll order the one with the PCC or passthrough and have it to use when my starter kit gets here. I have a little bit of juice from nhaler and 5 carts. From what I'm reading, I'll need more stuff! I am ready to try vaping!

Thanks for all the input everyone, I'm not as gung ho, it'll all depend on my budget now after I take care of my daughter's presents, (and the xhaler for me)

Shasta, you may not NEED more stuff right away, but sometimes that's half the fun. :) (at least for me) BTW Nhaler has really good juice and fast shipping if you get impatient.
