I just got my 510 passthrough today. Plugged it into an ipod wall adapter. Pressed the button. And nothing happens.

I'm guessing I need to charge the in-line batterie. How do I charge it? Just plug the usb in? Or screww the passthrough into my starter kit batt charger? Like I would with a normal batt that you get in the starter kits? Or can I just throw a normal aaa batt in the inline? Helllpppp ppplleeaassseee. :)

Thanks

I've had it happen both ways - vendor charges the batt and sends it - works immediately. Vendor doesn't charge the batt and it doesn't work, 20 minutes later all is well. And there of course could be the case of DOA. That happens with electronics but my guess is that it simply isn't charged and that it will. You just plug it in to the usb directly although a usb charger would work. If you're using a wall plug it should be rated at 1amp output at least but one less (.5amps) it will still work but not as well. Same with cig lighter.

Amazon.com: Belkin Dual USB Car Charger for iPod (Black): Electronics

Use the 'slot' that isn't the charging slot.

Or wall plug:

use either slot.
