i've never had an issue with the stock battery cap, i can get a pretty good grip just by pushing down on it while twisting. just be careful about not cross-threading until you get used to what it should feel like, you shouldn't get any resistance whatsoever when you're starting to thread it on (may have to clean the threads the first time you take the cap off).

They had some really fast shipping. I got mine in the mail yesterday afternoon.

First thoughts:
It turns on really slowly. I'm used to my VS, which turns on instantly after 5 clicks. With this, I have to wait for it to turn on and then wait for the sx 350 logo to go away. That's a huge pain.
I also need to get used to the size and shape of it. I've got long fingers, and they wrap around the mod a little too much to reach the fire button comfortably. That will take some getting used to, but I'm sure I will.
I haven't tried it in temp control yet, so I can't attest to my thoughts on that. But it seems to work great in power mode.

Finale thoughts:
I am glad I got it. I'm also very glad I got it for $100, instead of $200. The interface is extremely annoying. maybe if I didn't start with the complete ease of the DNA boards, I wouldn't mind, but as it stands. I like the DNA screen much better
