Hi guys, check out my frugal as hell, but ridiculously cheap coil jig
All you need is:
-2, hammer-in w/flange insert nuts (size:1/4"-20)
-2, 1" machine screws (size: also 1/4"-20)
-wood (size: your choice, I used a square scrap of 2x4 and rectangular 1x2 half the width of the 2x4 piece)
-common sense (size: may vary from individual to individual
)
-kanthal!

For a whopping $2.24USD you can have one too
(ignore the electric tape I kept getting splinters so I fixed it, it's sturdily held together with 2 wood screws)
It's ridiculous how easy this was to make, I work in the hardware dept. at lowes, and grabbed these 2 mins after getting off, came home screwed the blocks together, drilled two holes, and hammered the insert nuts in, boom. And it can hold any guide from guitar wire to a 1/2" drill bit. I'm sure these parts are at home depot, and ace hardware too. Happy building!
