As I posted in the video's thread, I liked the vids. I really need one of those coats :)....

I boiled some of mine, and it didn't get all the color out. Using 190 proof everclear in a small shot glass seems to get the job done. I fill the glass about 1/2 way, then drop four or five cartos in it. Then by tilting the glass I can fill the cartos from the top, and let them drain through the bottom. About 2 or 3 minutes of this and the cartos are white.

Okay, I have heard of the "everclear method" but haven't tried it yet. Definitely going to try it.

Of the cartos that I boiled most were brand new (pre-filled with undesirable juice), the others had only been vaped once or twice. Mostly I was just getting the undesirable juice out. None of them had a color that I noticed afterword. Some had a small smell once dry even after two times in the pot
(RY4).
Perhaps the trick is to have the right shot glass? Mabe you need A biker sized shot glass? Wow, and you said "a small shot glass"?

I don't seem to have the right size shot glass to accommodate "five cartomizers".

Damn, I guess I fall a few levels on the coolness scale.

I meant to say short shot glass.

Not tall shot glass

The tall ones that I have won't fit 5, maybe 3. The short ones will fit 5 at a time, put them in battery end down, they should be just over half covered in Everclear. Tilt the shot glass to fill them, you may have to tilt it towards you and away from you to get it into all five. It will quickly drain out of the cartos, then do it again, and again, and again until the gunky color disappears.

The cartos that I have that get the dirtiest are the ones that I use caramel and english toffee flavors in. Others may remain mostly white.

Hope that helps :)

Hi Doc. Boy do I feel stupid! Let me explain. I have a MV902 and a Joye 501 that I got from Cignot. I kept reading about cleaing carts, but I kept confusing that with cleaning the atty's, and I just knew dropping an atty in liquid would ruin it. So I watch your video, and realize that I dont have any cartomizers with either of my ecig's. I have these little plastic things with the cotton in them. Can I buy cartomizers for these ecigs, or are those made for other types of ecigs? Please excuse my denseness. I am still real new at this.
I much prefer the 501 to the 902. But the 501 batteries dont last very long, so I end up using the only passthrough I have which is for the 902. Thankfully, I have 2 501's (manual and auto). I have 2 902's, but the little pushbutton on the manual slid up under the metal within a day or so of getting it, so its been worthless, and left me with just the one auto 902. I do have spare batteries with it though, but still find myself using the 501's until they die - which usually ends up being around 3 pm. I know its not good for the batteries on the 501's, but I end up charging them for a few hours, and then fire them up again at night.
Anyhoo. Enjoyed the vid. Will have to check some more of your vids out.
