Yea...so far so good. We're safe. Jack is close to the water but like us....Vancouver Island is a huge barrier protecting us from the ocean's wrath. So I'm sure she is well.
I saw her lurking about a week or so ago. I think it will be a little bit before she can check in, but I'm worried for her.
Thankfully it doesn't look like the US is going to get hit too bad but can you imagine looking out your window and seeing this thing coming at you!? WOW!

Tybin you will be just fine. If you wont you can tune in to KGMI on the PC to get any updates for Whatcom County, from what I have heard it has already passed our area.

We are up on a hill to, Just of lakeway, I can see Bellingham Bay from here. I don't see the boats going by the house so all is good LOL
indeed...if we had boats heading for our yard, then we would have much bigger problems elsewhere....pole shifting, continent shifting type problems. *shivers*
I can't even imagine what the Japanese people are going through right now. I've seen videos and pictures this morning, sheer devastation. Although I do have to give them lots of credit for the way their high rise buildings are constructed. Watching a 60 story building wave like that and not come apart at the seams is just crazy.
Heck...any of those buildings....if that happened here...most of our homes wouldn't be able to withstand that kind of shaking for several minutes, let alone our high rise structures and overpasses. I'm totally impressed that many buildings and roads even withstood the assult from the water. Many lives were saved by their engineering skills...
They've shut down all the beaches & the Great Highway in San Francisco, but largely as a "just to be safe" measure. Having been through the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake, I can't imagine what it must have been like for the folks in Japan...
Santa Cruz Harbor took a hit. I know of 1 pier that broke off and some nice boats were grounded.
Well that wasy before it all happened so hopefully she safe and riding it all out.
