Title says it all. I've done a search with the search function in all forums, and this forum specifically with nothing showing up.

I've got two brand new UltraFire 18650's with a AG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger.

The problem is the Charger itself does not designate a polarity for the batteries. I put them in one way and get a red light, the other way and get a green light.

So what's the trick to this guy? How do I know I'm not frying my batteries by overcharging them?

What kind of battery charger doesn't have + and - indicators?!

Why don't you ask Hoogie at madvapes? I see he carries that charger. [NOTE: On the MadVapes website, it says that the charger comes with "translated instruction sheet." Doesn't it say in the instructions?]

If you want a guess (e.g., to try out with an old and/or inexpensive battery), place the battery with the positive end toward the top of the charger. [Probably a pretty good guess; I don't know of any charger which does it otherwise.]

To accurately check the polarity of the charger, one would have to have access to a multimeter. If you happen to own a multimeter or know someone to borrow one from, this is what you could do:
1. set the multimeter to check DC voltage
2. place the positive lead (RED) of the multimeter on one end of the charger
3. place the negative lead (black) of the multimeter on the other
4. If the meter displays a positive number (number with out a - before it) the connector end that you placed the red lead on would be where you place the positive end of your battery for charging

If you DO NOT have access to a multimeter or don't want to bother, then Don's suggestion is the route to go.
