I'm looking for a better battery for my Reo Mini. My ultrafire's just aren't cutting it for my 801 atty.

I am thinking about picking up some AW IMR 14500 600mAH batteries. Are these batteries protected? If not, should I be concerned overcharging them with my charger?

On that note, will my current charger work for them? I am using a AG-126 Lithium Ion Battery Charger.

Thanks in advance. I just don't want anything blowing up in my face :).

The IMR batteries have protection built into their LiMN chemistry, which, like LifePo4, is much safer than Li-Ion batteries such as the Ultrafires.

I've been using the AW IMR 14500s successfully in my ProVape-1 (and charging them in my Trustfire Multifunction charger) for some time now. They provide more oomph than other types of batteries ... and haven't yet blown up in my face;-) (or anyone else's).*

* Whoops! – http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...catastrophic-battery-failure-imr-18650-a.html – I stand corrected. Talk about ironic timing. Well, at least it didn't blow up in her face.

And, although this incident does tend to undercut my comment, it stands that LiMN battery chemistry is safer than Li-Ion.

I use the AW IMR 14500's on my reo mini. Not sure of your charger though. Some reviews at madvapes suggest perhaps not AND there was an upgrade in that charger that might accomodate - but you could use battery spacers. I'd email madvapes if I were you and ask....
