So what is the difference or what is actually used in the liquids?

The main difference is that our vapejuice is 0-3.6% nicotine in propyl glycol (or some in glycerine,) and water, whereas the first entry on that list is 40% in water (strong enough to be very dangerous - it's very poisonous in concentrations like that, and easy to overdose!)
The propyl glycol/glycerine makes the mist (same principle as a fog machine.)
The only other ingredients are food-grade flavourings.

Also I would imagine our nicotine is a mix of salts - sulphate, tartrate, citric, probably some others, since it's extracted from tobacco leaves. There's not a lot of freebase (pure) nicotine in vape juice because of its pH, but the salts still deliver.

yup thats the link, thanks Caesarea.

Nick: that is an interesting insight, while I appreciated the concept of vapejuice being an actual extract, I was being realistic that it may just be a mix of straight nicotine, propylene glycol, flavor, color and water. My assumption being that it would be cheaper produce then any extraction process.
Not that it really makes a difference unless the extraction process is done with additional chemicals(don't get me started on how Nutella is made)

thanks for the replies. :)

Not to further the TJ but I have to share that with a nutella fiend ;)

i got this from a doctor while i still lived in germany
as you know it is mostly hazelnut and cocoa plant fat.
to extract the fat from the cocoa plant it is soaked in chems.
once extracted it is no longer save for human consumption, they add more chems to neutralize the first chem. at that point it is the wrong color, so they put more chems in there to revert it back to the proper color.
*puke*
I was a nutella addict until the ripe and impressionable age of 13, I stopped eating ALL sweets after this process was explained to me in detail.
I am sure it is all FDA approved poisons but I was so disgusted by that fact, I do not really enjoy any chocolate stuff to this day. give me a plate of artery clogging french fries and mayo instead ;)

Nicotine can be synthesised, but it would be considerably more expensive - tobacco grows like a weed, and can contain 3% nicotine by weight once dried. And nicotine and all its salts are readily soluble in water/alcohol/other common solvents, so extraction is very easy (easy and cost-effective enough to perform at home, even from heavily taxed smoking products.)

Not that it really makes a difference unless the extraction process is done with additional chemicals(don't get me started on how Nutella is made)

If you think nutella's bad, you really don't want to know how the tobacco companies boost the freebase nicotine content in cigarettes to maintain brand loyalty ;)
