How many of you who are using e-cigs to replace an analog cigarette addiction use the flavored carts and liquids? I've smoked Winstons for many years but have also smoked pipes ocassionally. I always liked the smell of the aromatic pipe tobaccos even though the taste was a little harsh. Cherry blend stands out as one of the pipe tobaccos I enjoyed smelling. I'm wondering if the flavored e-juices are enjoyed the same way as pipe tobacco smoke, that is by exhaling the vapor and inhaling it back again through the nose. I can probably answer my own question once I get the two e-cigs I've ordered along with all the carts and liquids. Most of the juice I've ordered is either regular, tobacco, or cigarette flavored (i.e. Camel). I figure that the first order of business is to get some nicotine in my system and make the experience as close to smoking an analog as possible. After I make the break with analogs I'm thinking I might like to try some of the flavored stuff. Just curious as to what you all think about the flavored experience as opposed to just nicotine replacement.

Sorry to ramble so.

Hey Ragged - welcome to the forum...

I find that I don't want a vapor that tastes like a regular cig.

I do just the opposite - I inhale, then exhale through the nose to get an additional "taste." I have yet to find a juice that tastes or even smells like cherry tobacco (my grandfather used to smoke a cherry blend in his pipe - oh the memories!)

The cherry liquids I've tried (JC and TW) are far too sweet, taste more like cherry candies (but a hint of bitterness to them) than cigar smoke. I do adore TW's vanilla liquid - that DOES remind me of pipe smoke....

The flavors are not the same as tobacco flavors. I use the vanilla, and it not only smells like vanilla, it *tastes* like vanilla. Very sweet, but I love it. After the first day, I never thought of going back to analogs, and now I can barely stand the smell of an analog. Try one of the "sampler" packs, that give you a few different flavors in small bottles. I think you'll like most of them, although you'll end up choosing a favorite.

Two things I thought when purchasing my first e-cig were (1) I want carts so I don't have to mess with e-liquid and (2) I want tobacco flavor only to replace my analog - I don't care about vaping silly flavors.

I was wrong on both counts lol. I think you'll transition to trying out and enjoying some different flavors. The flavored stuff also comes in diff nicotine levels.

RC - The flavor thing is REALLY personal. I haven't tried a lot of flavors, but just the difference between what I like and what my wife prefers is a good example. I've tried Ruyan vanilla I hated it, wife loved it; Smoke Liberation apple I like, wife can't stand; Ruyan Turkish Blend I really like, wife makes disgusted faces; Ruyan #4 we both like; Marlboro from Ruyan and Burro Blend from Smoke Lib we both like but me moreso than my wife. Best thing to do is get a sampler pack from your vendor of choice, try them all and see what you like. You might be surprised at what you find tasty and testing them is probably gonna be the only way to tell.

Hope this helps!

I started out thinking I only wanted Menthol after smoking Kools for too many years. I "thought" I was not interested in having my cigs taste like fruit or desserts. Boy was I wrong. I started ordering the other flavors for my sis who I recently turned onto ecigs and made the mistake of trying them. Now I have fallen in love with chocolate, cherry, peach, watermelon, Mocha, and creme brulee! So now I have to find a way to keep my carts seperate. Thanks to my wonderful Sister!! I was chuckling before thinking boy she's going to have a hard time keeping all this seperate. That will teach me. But really, you should try the True Cherry from True Vapor. Very good!

Most of us went in the same direction. I'm really not into the dozens of flavors, but I *do* prefer the vanilla. I may try cherry at some time in the future but I'm not concerned right now. I'm just worried about stocking up, in case a ban goes through by the FDA (FDA = F**king Dumb Asses)
