I've put together my first mechanical mod set up and going to order tomorrow. I really like my smok SiD, but looking to go beyond that.
From every thing I've read this should all work together well but wanted to get some input.
What do you all think?

I think you'll like that setup, EXCEPT for one thing.....

I found that the Chi You clone (at least mine)'s Inner Diameter is not really conducive for running a kick. But then again I was trying to use a Kick 2 by Evolv (not sure about the smok Tech one).....BUT, The inner diameter of the Chi clone is quite a bit bigger than the outer diameter of the Kick, so you end up with quite a bit of rattle & poor connectivity.....to resolve this, I folded up a small piece of plastic and 'shoved' it down behind the Kick to keep it in place...

besides that though, the Chi is a really nice Clone, as is the Kraken clone (I have the HCigar one).....I think you'll like the two a lot!!

I would get the extended firing pins for the Chi and magnet upgrade, I got my clone working great, no battery rattle, ..but it's not for everybody. Mine now sits flushes with attys, but has really short throw with the extended pins. I would go with VCT5/4 Sony's...never know when you need that huge AMP buffer if your atty build need it.

I never tried Kick with my Chi, only my Nemesis..my kick 2 died after 2 weeks...no idea why....but I've been "kickless" and just build my atty's accordingly.

Looks like this would be a better battery than the AW, and would work ok if I build a lower ohm coil in the Kraken if I'm not mistaken.

I got my first Chi clone and finding it is very good, my kicks fit in OK but there are quite a few variants out there so the suggestion of the packing piece will help a great deal.

Here's my Chi...

Thanks for the reply's. jpcwon did an 18650 battery fit with the kick. from my research online I think it will but wanted to verify.

It's a tight fit but yes, you can make an 18650 work with a Kick in the Chi....

The Chi clone is a great mod; don't let the kick thing steer you away from getting it...you can make it work with a little finagling.... :)

Chi you is a fantastic mod!!
Remove the smaller pin ( the top battery contact that adjusts for battery rattle), and shim the kick, if needed, with a slice of paper so the contact is touching the wall of the mod.

I've only ever seen ones that were a rather smooth tubes with just some symbols etched near the base (and a rather fancy head) but never one with all those etchings. Where did you get that?
