Not saying people shouldnt inspect these as they come in but frankly... I call nonsense on this. All of those "safety issues" sound to me like someone who doesnt know how to properly operate a mech mod... I mean really... car vibrations causing a pin to move... comeon.... really?

This guy says he owns a shop as well but wont be carrying the mod. So ok, his call. Maybe his pre-release version was garbage. Lets see what gets to people's hands before we start worrying about this.

Anyone who doesnt fully inspect, clean, and know their mech mod inside and out the day it comes in shouldnt put a battery in it. Clone or not. Just my .02 on this one.

have to be careful in what context this is used. IF the pin is really loose or the insulator does not hold onto it correctly it can fall out, he also stated the pin is very short and very little threading is left to hold the pin in place once backed out somewhat.

day after day, you read about the modding needed to make clones work better, i sanded this or i added that, with this type of spring.. and this shouldnt be happening either, unlike a lot of the high end modders china just slaps it together and tosses it out the door with no real testing.

so its not totaly out of the question that a clone maker forgot to actually add a longer screw somewhere, if the screw being loose is a real noticable issue then he does have a valid point, a screw already loose or pushed to the side inside the mod, rolling around the car seat and suddenly the pin bends enough to make full contact with the sidewall and next thing you know your travelling at 65 mph in heavy traffic trying to get rid of a venting mod before it burns the seat.

any safety concern, no matter how small. should never be dismissed until it is proven to be false.

Anyone who doesnt fully inspect, clean, and know their mech mod inside and out the day it comes in shouldnt put a battery in it.
you forget how many resellers dont care what you know as long as you show up with a fistfull of 20's and a few hours in new members will easily show you how many people get in over their heads everyday with vaping gear.

Your lack of concern and ridicule is disturbing. There's allot of people who will probably see this cheap clone and jump into it with a lack of knowledge. This Chi Clone is dangerous without modification. A protected 18650 wouldn't fit in the body without porting it. If I wasn't machine savy and new to the mechanical scene I'd probably would've just keep using a non-protected 18650 that would've left room for battery rattle and allow the top cap battery post to fall out and cause a direct short. Calling non-sense on something as basic as personal safety for the community is bass-ackwards.
