In all honesty, I'm too lazy to dig up the thread where a person asked of any Restaurants in the Chicagoland area that allow e-cigs.

I happen to work at one of them. So I talked with the G.M. and his first reaction was, "No!" due to what customers would think. Less than a second later, he realized there was no smell and shouldn't affect other customers, so he gave it the green light. (And yes, I asked in context of posting to this forum.)

So, at Gratto Italian Restaurant and Tapas Bar in Glen Ellyn, IL (at 433 N. Main St), you are allowed to vape. (Please don't be obnoxious about it, you could ruin it for everyone else!)

Also, after work, I regularly go to Shannon's Irish Pub (across the street at 428 Main St) where I've used my e-cig and a P.V. (sorry, but if it looks like an analog I'm willing to consider the ramifications of using what everyone things is an analog smoke...) and have been told that everything's cool. By the bartender and other patrons. (Although some folks have been intrigued by the fact that I use e-cigs and e-books (they see me using a Kindle), and don't drink... My drink of choice happens to be either pink-lemon-aid and/or O.J. mixed with soda-water...)

Thanks Krikket! I had posted a few days ago asking about Restaurants in the Chicagoland area that allow vaping. I have asked at a couple of places that I have gone to in the last couple of days, and the answer was 'no". I'll definitely have to go to the ones you suggested. If I find any, I will post also. It seems when you ask about "vaping", most people have no idea what you're talking about, but if you mention e-cigs then they start referring to it as another form of smoking. I think the public needs some education, lol.
