Chico (CA) commission proposes outdoor smoking ban that may include e-cigs, goes to City Council for consideratoin

Chico's Bidwell Park and Playground Commission recommends banning smoking (and apparantly e-cig use) at city-owned parks, open spaces, greenways and preserves, goes to City Council for consideration (California).

The smoking ban recommended by the commission applies to non-tobacco products as well.

It would be helpful if someone could obtain the proposal to verify if it also bans e-cigarettes.

I will put this on my to do list after the first of the year. I would imagine this mention in the Enterprise Record "The smoking ban recommended by the commission applies to non-tobacco products as well." applies to weed. Weed is the preferred smoke in Chico.

They should ban junk food from public spaces and parks instead...the darn places are littered with thrash.

I'll bump this cause it's not too old, from what I understand e-cigs will be fine in the park.

@zapatengo, do we have any good brick and mortars local here? I can't find anyone worth a penny out of my pocket but I'd love to support local business.
