It's the forum's word filter. Usually used to censor obscene or vulgar language....also used as a way to censor a name or business or links to said business's website. We used it often for spammers or vendors that somehow got themselves banned at an automotive forum I used to moderate at.

In related news, my China GG was shipped today.

I just received my "China GG" in the mail today and I just figured I'd throw up a few quick thoughts. First off the finish seems to be halfway decent. I'd say better than my black chrome Vamo out of the box but that isn't saying much. My threading is passable except for the bottom portion of the telescoping section which hits a very crunchy portion if you try to completely disassemble it. Thankfully you don't need to go past those threads to put an 18650 in there. Speaking of batteries my Panasonic 18650 button tops just barely fit in the tube (width wise), AWs seem to be fine. Another note on batteries, the mod is too large for 18350s. Those are the only 2 battery sizes I own so I can't speak to anything else. The metal of the tube in general is quite thin, venting seems to be adequate. It was preforming well on a freshly charged 18650 with a Boge LR Carto.

TL;DR - I bought this as a backup of sorts/to get a feel for mechanical mods and for $24 I'm satisfied.

I just received mine today as well. I was able to get an 18350 in it, I took out the center tube and just screwed the 510 connector section onto the switch portion. Agree that the threads aren't uniformly finished, there are smooth parts and there are very crunchy parts in the same section. The button is a bit stiff and I sometimes need to press on it a couple of times to get it to fire, but this may be a user error issue. Next step is to rebuild a low ohm coil and see what it can really do.

I got mine today. I did have to remove one very small bur on one of the threads. Other than that the threads are all smooth. I did notice that you cannot squeeze the center tube (double male ends) very tightly or else if deforms and makes the threading very tight. Light pressure and it went very easy.

The ViVi Nova is nearly a perfect match for this thing. Since the air relief is cut into the taper the VN can thread all the way down with no gap. Just be carefull not to thread it down too tightly. I had to file of a few thousanths from the VN's threads and center post.

I assume you have to sand down the finish on the inside if you want to use a kick?

Looking for a cheap mechanical mod that I can kick. (No way I could ever go back to standard voltage)

Was looking at the smoktek telescope but finding it hard to buy given I can buy another Vamo at a cheaper price with no need to buy a kick.

same here. but i just keep coming back to the fact that a vamo costs about the same or less then just a Kick alone. on the china gg, aside from the no-gap thing (which i really like) i cant justify purchasing it. does a mechanical mod+kick somehow hit better than a VV/VW device such as the vamo?
i notice a difference between the way my provari hits compared to the spinners and twists. my vmod is mechanical but no kick so i can tell how a mechanical + kick hits. id like to know how it compres to a unit such as the vamo.
