Morning,

Just wondering what your thoughts are on buying e-liq from China right now with what happened in Japan, radiation is still spilling out. (those poor people) Do you think its safe to buy something from them right now? :( Gotta go to work, be back later.

I'm fairly certain that no one knows for sure. My *guess* is that radiation would not be a problem. In order for liquid to absorb enough to harm you the plane it is shipped on would have to fly very close to the reactor. Air traffic is routed around that area now.

One thing is for certain- you there will be increased radiation levels for many things coming from Asia for a long time. So if your personal feeling is that the juice is unsafe- remember all the hardware comes from there as well.

My personal feeling is that things will be ok.

China's a huge place! The Dekang factory is in Shuangqiao Village, outside of Shanghai. According to Google maps, the distance from there to the nearest Japanese city, Nagasaki, is 791 miles. I think that there is no chance that the disaster in Japan will affect the juices they make.

Because of the path and direction of the Jet Stream I think that more than likely the US and Canada are getting higher doses of the radiation than China. The current Jet Streams winds are taking the radiation away from China's direction and toward us in the US and Canada which have been shown to be showing up in our milk, water, and some veggies already in some areas.

Just my two cents, not even a nickles worth. :)
