Chinese charger will works with DNA40?

I bought a fasttech enclosure, a FatDaddy V4 510 connector and a DNA40.
Of course i forgot to buy the charger...
I have a chinese charger from a Hana clone from fasttech. I was thinking to use this one, but i have a problem.
dna original charger has only two connector, a + and a - one, corresponding to two connector on DNA40.

Chinese charger has 3 connector, a +, a - and a signal (S) one.

If i connect from chinese charger only + and -, like the original, will works?
Is there any danger to ruin the DNA40 board?

You can just wire it to your battery or the sled. It does not need to pass thru the board to work, although it would.

Rh I was wondering if wired to the board could the traces handle 1A charging, there were many posts of problems on the dna20/30 and the 500mA charging burning up those traces in the beginning. I do know they later beefed up those traces a bit but 1A is substantially more than the standard issue 500mA chargers that come OEM.

I would contact evolv if you want to wire the 1A charger to the board.. Or if someone knows and posts lol..

The Cana chargers are .50ma. If you are going to use a tp4056 or equivalent charger board @ 1 amp then just bypass the board altogether. You will only get .50ma out of the board no matter what you do. Is the new Evolve charging board 1 amp? I think they have been only .50. Here is the thing, you can wire the charger direct to the battt and its going to do its thing. That takes all questions about harming the dna board out of the equation. I have a TP4056 in my dna 30 and it charges the efest 3100 mah battery in little over an hour. I bypassed the board and soldered the charger leads direct to the battery. The board still monitors the battery level with the charger board bypassed to the batt.

I hope that made sense.

Its maybe I will make a dna 40 mod but IDK, I love the dang mini sx350 cause uber lol..
But the TP is most tempting on the 40, but I use ss mesh, so confusing; I wanna know if its dry hits causing my cotton allergy but
whoa that sx mini ...

Its excess either way but who can stop..

I tried this charger with my new dna 40 box mod, but is not working i think. When i connect the micro USB from a extrenal charger (a phone one), the inside charger led becomes red, but on DNA 40 nothing on the screen, like normal, should have shown charging signs (battery levels), but it not. Nothing happens on the screen.
I connect the external charger without the battery inside DNA 40 box mod, and the inside charger led becomes green, on the sceen appear EVOLV DNA, but when i push the fire button, the screen is flashing.
What bothers me is that I do not understand what does not work, and what is the role of the S (Signal) from charger.
Of course, if i will not be able to make it works, i will apply your solution, wire it direct to battery or the sled.
Another option is to buy a Evolv charger, this would mean to remouve the entire build, wait to arrive ...

Sounds like it's working as intended. The DNA40 doesn't do anything when charging. When you press the fire button, it will update the battery level.

With a battery, when the led is red, it's charging. Green is full (4.2v). W/o a battery, there's no draw on the charging board so it will show 4.2v and green.
