Chinese New Year?

CNY is January 31. Tens of millions of workers in Chinese factory cities go home to the country to visit families once a year. This two-week-plus vacation usually begins about now or anytime soon. The effect on international imports and shipping lasts well into February. For vapers, this affects both vaping gear and nicotine supply. Many vendors run out of stock and wait a long time for re-shipment.

Anyone have an idea when everything shuts down in China this year?

For the most part the dates are Jan 25 to Feb 6 ... different chinese companies have slight differences by a day or two ... fasttech will be shut down until Feb 4, whereas Focalecig will be down until Feb 6 ... its sucks.

Good reminder yzer for those that have been around a while but might have forgotten and good information for those new to vaping that haven't yet experienced the effect the Chinese New Year has on many vaping supplies. Last year it seemed to effect supply longer then usual. There sure were a LOT of unhappy people when they couldn't find the new toys they wanted when they wanted them.

Oh damn, here we go again!

The bad part is that it isn't just the manufacturers that shut down, their suppliers do also. The end result is that QC can really suck during production start up without a supply of the components. (remember Bogegate?!?)

*Note of correction - China supply Disruptions can run well into March.
For many suppliers, last year, it was week 3 of March filling previous pending orders.
