I liked Habana R., Absinthe, Black Currant, Ylang Ylang right from the start but there are a few DV flavors that grow on me - Lotus Flower is one - seemed a bit sweet at first, not now... and more recently Chocolate Au Lait. CaL had a strong alcoholic flavor (not like the Cognac!) at first, but since I made a batch and didn't hate it I kept vaping and now I know it will be in regular rotation. Chocolate, Coffee and Caramel are three flavors that seem hard to nail down and this really is a chocolate flavor - if you're looking for a dark chocolate, you'll still have to keep looking, but if you're a chocolate junky then this is worth a try... but give it time. I don't know if part of it is where the filler gets like a pipe bowl or what - where it is 'tempered with chocolate' but it's vaping good these days and I really don't notice the alcohol taste anymore.

That sounds pretty good Kent. I'm still having problems nailing down the basic flavors. LOL

Hey 5card! :)

Chocolate is a hard flavor to nail down. Again, I don't think anyone has got a good 'dark chocolate' but the chocolate flavor comes through on this one. Nicely done, Nick!

As far as nailing down the flavors DIY - the DV ones anyway - I use the VG plantinum ice, the Aqueous glycerine and the DV flavoring and follow the chart at the bottom of the page on the Platinum Ice for amounts. I think Nick wrote it but not sure. It is really close to the prefilled tastes, imo. I put the flavor in last and leave off one drop(part) and try it, then add more flavor as needed. It is almost never 3 drops (for 1ml) more. The main thing is having a standard of measure with each component. I use a calibrated blunt syringe. Counting each 'drop/part' as a mililiter you end up with the right amount for a 30ml bottle.

Glad you like it!
Yeah, dark chocolate is a tricky one (cocoa's horribly unvolatile stuff!) - still working on it, but it'll take a little longer.

I'm liking the tequilla - finally got the flavor. I think you nailed the flavor once again. The cognac is a bit too much alcohol taste for me but the tequilla is spot on, on alcohol and tequilla flavor too. I've added the new lemon meringue for a 'margrita' ;-) I found out how strong lemon flavoring can be with lorann's "lemonade" - a tip of a toothpick amount is too much for 10ml. lol. So about one drop of lemon meringue with the tequilla mix seems about right for me in 10ml. No salt though :-\ lol.

And I'm trying the D.Expresso out -thanks for getting that out. It does have a fairly good coffee flavoring base. Maybe the best since JC's Kona which always had the strongest coffee taste for me but it tends to lose it's flavor over time. I know of no others that actually capture a full bodied coffee taste. I'd still like a good Columbian.... :)

The DV flavours are by far the best tasting liquids out there IMO. Definitely recommended by me.

I agree and I've had eliquid from almost every vendor here and from others that don't have forums. Some are very good. The old 'defunct'? Janty/Joye juice line had great flavors but simply aren't available now. But as far as quality nic base - no one has a higher quality than Nick - some might have the same high quality but none, as far as I know, have a higher quality and it shows up on the tastebuds too. Retail prices reflect that but the chart for mixing and the platinum kits make it easy to reduce costs on the flavors that are available.

I know that sounds like an advert but I'm simply a fan after having tried so many others and I vape almost 90% DV VG now. I still have some Janty RY4 and Janty Capp and some TW reg. line French Pipe with Walrus's Peach on a few ecigs but the rest is DV - Habana Res., Absinthe, RTabs, Choc au Lait, Dop. Espresso, Ylang Ylang!, Lotus, Black Currant, Mentholyptus and now Tequila. I like the Roast Beef and some of the other 'roasted's' but not for a daily vape. ;-) Not crazy about the mint stuff or hot stuff but that's true with any other ejuice too for me.
