Before I start, this is my first review and also my first e-cig. I stopped by a local tobacco store and saw that they had e-cigs for sale. I thought, why not.
The brand was Choice E-Cig. I've never heard of the brand and didn't even know what atomizer it had. (306 found out later on this forum)
Packaging (5)
It comes in a neat box that has a magnetic lid. Once you open it, you see two white batteries and two atomizers that are placed neatly in a soft plastic/foam cover. The atomizers have carts over them but have no filling. Silly me, no wonder I was getting a burned taste. Lift the foam and you see 3 boxes. One for the charger, one for the wire for the charger, and one box of 5 prefilled carts. I was fairly impressed with the packaging, neat and simple.
Looks (5)
This e-cig looks just like a cig. The size is almost right on. The battery does have line going around the body. Not thick lines that you could tell from far off but skinny lines. I think that this makes it look a lot better and more like an actual cig because it's not completely white. The carts are an orange color almost like an actual cig. They complete the job a making an e-cig that looks like an actual cig and that's why I gave it a 5.
Performance (3.5)
It is an auto battery with a 5 second cutoff when the atty is cold and a 3 second cutoff when the atty is hot. Really don't like the cutoff...but I did learn to give it a primer puff. The draw it a little harder then a normal cig would be but not by much. The battery however did not last long. I had a long vape session with a freshly charged battery and it lasts around 1hr. Not bad but could be better. The atty does get hot fast. If you vape for a long time then the atty will get really hot.
Throat Hit (3.5)
The marlboro pre filled carts that they gave me don't do justice to how hard this thing hits. I picked up some strawberry juice (high no specific number) from the store. I dripped 4 drops onto a freshly charged battery and it hits harder then the Marlboro Reds do. Around an unfiltered cig. Maybe because this is my first e-cig and am not used to vapor but it hits hard. The only reason I gave it a 3.5 was because of the lack of consistency. The hard TH might be there for a couple puffs and then gone the next, then be back after another couple. TH does decrease as the battery drains.
Vapor (4)
At first I was very unsatisfied with the vapor production. I wanted the thick white clouds that I saw other reviewers get with a 510. After I learned to prime it and take a couple puffs I got the thick white clouds I wanted. This thing does put vapor. The vapor is warm, not hot or cold. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because sometimes, not often, it does get weak. On those times the vapor could be compared to taking a quick puff of a cig.
Taste (???)
Can't give an honest answer on taste because I only received a the prefilled carts (which hardly taste like much) and a strawberry flavor (it barley tastes like strawberry.
.
Overall I am satisfied with the Choice E-Cig. If someone where looking for cigarette looking e-cig this would be it. Now only if I had a Riva/eGo battery to test out a 306 atty with.
