Thanks for the input everybody, I did end up ordering a Riva 510 kit from LF as well as some Boge 2.0 cartos, a drip tip, and a couple different juices to try out. There are just SO many options out there that if I didn't go ahead and grab something, it could be weeks before I make a decision, so I am happy to have something on the way, hopefully it'll arrive in a couple days. Maybe I will order some dual coils when I need to resupply so I can compare them.

Welcome to the wide world of vaping! You will find out it is probably one of the best and most important decisions of your life. The Riva is a good choice to start with. I still use mine to drip with when I'm testing juices like right now. I prefer the Echo auto 1300 with 3.4 ml carto but the Riva is also a very good choice.:2cool:

It's great; small, doesn't look like I'm suckin' on a screwdriver or dildo
Dildo... LMAO That's a good one. Most of these big batt mods I see remind me of an electric toothbrush or something far too equally ridiculous for me to be puffing on for a nic fix. But dildo? lol Nice...

Enough about dildos. [edit - wow, terrible TOTP!]

I received my goods in the mail today, I have one of the batteries plugged in charging. Per the instructions it says I should charge it the first time for 8 hours, which is... well, an eternity after being so hyped up to give this thing a try. So one is charging, and I took the other and am using it out of the box, which I am sure is not the best idea but I just can't wait. Hopefully it will not significantly damage the life of the battery.

After being smoke free for almost a month, hitting some 14mg juice is a bit strong. I can definitely feel the nicotine in my system after taking about ten hits. But gosh it feels good to have something in my throat and lungs! I am not getting the best flavor so far, I am hoping that when I use the battery that is actually fully charged in about eight hours that I will be getting a better taste. The vapor production is moderate right now, and again I am hopeful I will be getting some thick clouds when I try use a battery with a charge. Even still, I am really enjoying the vape experience, all ready worried I will be dropping $$$ on juice in the weeks and months to come.

Hello Ochre! Love the name. Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping and the ECF. I am also quite new to vaping (made the switch 2 months ago) and if your main priority right now is simplicity as you figure out what you want and need for your next step up, may I echo the KR808 suggestion. I started a Cig2o starter kit and quickly made the switch to Vapor Kings / Titans. V4L sells them at a steal as well as the cartomizers (especially in comparison to my local - and only - tobacco shop that could get away with selling a 5 pack of carts for $15!). Once you've figured out your favorite flavors, the juices are equally inexpensive and KR808 carts are easily refilled using the condom method (YouTube!) and the general rule of thumb is 3 refills on a pre-filled cart, 5 on a blank... Although I have seen many people get MUCH more out of them. As long as they don't have a nasty burnt marshmallow taste, they are good to go. :] The battery life on the KR808's isn't phenomenal by any means, but they are cheap enough to buy several (I have 13) and last a long time. Adding a PCC so you're never in that just-used-my-last-battery situation and a passthrough for computer, car, sitting at home vaping (also gives you something to occupy yourself with while your batts are charging!) to your arsenal is a good idea also... Not to mention the passthroughs produce decently awesome vapor IMO. ;]

If you want one of the 501 models, I recently purchased the incredibly versatile and inexpensive E-Power kit. A very helpful member here gave me some awesome suggestions for the kit as well as increasing vape time - a) invest in a back-up battery charger, b) purchase some batteries (I was referred to Electronicstix) that will last longer and so you have back-ups on hand, and c) grab some EMDCC cartos and a V2 shorty adapter. I'm getting about 9 hours on average now on a single charge which is blowing my mind having just switched from my KR808's.

Again, welcome and I hope you are as pleasantly surprised by the helpful insight and friendly folks you will encounter here as I was. :D

Oh, and on the subject of juice, I am sure I have worlds to go before I find my go-to juice but I was blessed enough to find AVE's Boba's Bounty early on for an indescribably awesome "tobacco" flavor (although I guarantee you it is infinitely more complex...). My other favorite juice vendors are Ms. T's Bakery, Kick Bass, and Vapor Bomb. ;)

Yeah, as far as nicotine, I think I do need some zero mg juice around just so I can enjoy the experience without Ye Olde Nicotine Poisoning. I have already been eyeballing Kick Bass, it looks like they are actually closed to orders right now, but once they are open I definitely want to try some of their Waffle, sounds amazing. I do have some low nic juice coming, on monday my 30ml of Backwoods RY4 should be arriving, I am really psyched to give that a shot. Until then I am stuck with some likely third rate chinese stuff I grabbed from Liberty Flights, as well as some of their American made LY4, which I have not tried yet, gonna give it a whirl later tonight.

SummerDawn, thanks anyway for the warm welcome!
