Chopperguys...disappeared with our mods?

Didn't know where to put this--basically just wanted to start a support group of sorts for people that have been shanked by Chopperguys.

He had my Reo-mini since February...told me it was completed in april. Still have not gotten it back--neither has many other patrons fo his service.

His thread is locked, he cannot receive PMs--what are we to do about getting or stuff back?

He has $1000's worth of our mods and no way to get them back it seems?

Seems to me a call to his local police dept might speed things up or do nothing... I feel terrible this has happened, nothing worse than waiting for something that never comes

While I will leave the point of contact for the Police posting the address is out of line. Folks that have dealt with him will have the address. posting it only encourages people to do things they should not.

Thanks for the edit and not a Permaban This guy has a 100+ of people's mods. He refuses to keep a line of contact. We need action not political correctness.

BTW: I joined this forum just to get Chopper's info and send him my rig for polishing, then powder clear coat.

I think he might have some sort of sickness...I think remember him saying something a few months back about that...I say be a bit more patient.

Of course,its beyond me why somebody would turtle back and refuse to make a forum post to keep everybody informed and secure,but heh....they are all kind of different medical problems that could be the cause.

Seems that this family had some kind of devastating personal event.

After that, wasn't Salem County declared a natural disaster site?

When my town got hit by a tornado, many lives were not back to normal even a year later, depending on what had happened to them. There's a lady who has stuff in our antique mall who had a tragic death in the family and she hasn't been in or paid her rent or answered her phone in 3 months.

Seems like Chopper who did a lot of work for free at the beginning just bit off more than he could chew to begin with----then maybe later on things really went South for him in addition?

I'm sorry to hear that...the whole situation sucks.

I wish him the best, but he could've avoided all this by popping in every once and a while--I have no problem waiting months for a tip-top job, but his last post was 3 months ago.

My Reo was done back in April--the hold-up on shipping it back? No clue. I just want to keep the issue alive for those that shipped off mods and sent money for the work. If ChopperGuy ever comes back, at least we can try and keep a tally of those that have goods held.

With the main thread locked, we have no on-going record of who/what/when.
