My son is wanting to get into the variable volt scene since he is now starting DIY juices. I was thinking that it would make a good Christmas present for him but I know nothing about them and what all I would need to buy. I am hoping I can come in at $100.00 or less, but I don't want to buy low quality. Can I get some advice/opinions from you guys as what to look at at getting and what all I would need to get?

That one uses dual batteries. Stay away from 2 battery mods. Every ecig that has exploded has used more than one battery at a time. What happens is that people put one fully charged battery in along with one that is partially charged. The fully charged battery tries to equalize the voltages by quick charging the weaker battery when you press the fire button. The result is a rapid heat buildup that results in pressure and venting of gases. This can happen really quickly, the venting results in the tube hissing and exploding within a few seconds. Dangerous ...

Stick with single battery mods that use electronics to achieve voltages higher than 3.7v. These are referred to as variable voltage mods. The Lavatube is one of those and there are many types and brands. Use the link below to see what's available and how much they cost. There are 1 to 5 star reviews on each model. Click "Browse by Features" to select the attributes you want and list those that match.

i see that you already placed your order, so i'm a little late. gift certificates are always a safe bet. keeps you from having to guess, and it assures the recipient will always get what they are looking for. trust me, my mom's idea of good fishing tackle is not the same as mine!
