Just a thought. as I have been watching the testing.

Has any one taken the battery's from the Buzz Pro that are in question and placed them in a Buzz from the last run, I do not wont to call it the Old buzz :) Just to see if you get the same results.

Just thinking out loud today.

I was just thinking the same thing. And I have to repeat what 5Card said about beta testing. None of us who were beta testers had these issues. So now my question is...what was changed (if anything) in the IC/PCB since the first set of beta units that were sent out? And this may be completely off the wall, but I know that the on/off switch was added after beta.

Just thinking out loud here :)

Trying the new batts on an original buzz would be good, but I only had an infinity for comparison.

Earlier today one poster mentioned short run time with batteries that had been previously used, I assume with decent run time, on an original buzz. I may be reading more into it than I should, but expect it is something in the pv. Mike hypothesized a regulator issue.

I'm confident it will shake out fine, expect it is some weird boundary condition, since many people are getting the excellent results expected :)

I will be testing many Bp's and then the Old Buzz and also the Infinity ( Old style ) after these tests I will know exactly what each units does time wise and if the problem is the batts OR the controller .

By the time I am done we will be able to test ANY device and get comparable numbers relative to the Buzz Pro and Buzz etc.

Hey, you can say anything you want about me, but don't be calling my Black Buzz or Copper Infinity "old." I own a Buzz Classic and an Infinity Classic.

These poor old girls are being neglected enough these days with someone calling them old.

So how many people total are having issues with their Buzz Pro?Is anyones working without issues and getting the great run time out of the batteries they should be?Mine gets delivered tomorrow and i'm not sure at this point if I want to open it,or just send it back for a refund.

That would be the biggest mistake you could make. Most of the issues people have with pvs is user error. The Buzz Pro I can personally vouch for is the best PV that is available. Besides I read more posts about great times than I do these. There is always an outside chance that brand new parts can be bad but one thing that is the best at notcig is customer service so even if there were a problem it would be taken care of.

I'm wondering if it's just a grounding issue because of the anodizing. Maybe the ground screw or one of the others because the Beta's weren't anodized.

Well I had a few minor issues when I got my BP #028 but I did keep it and do like it more with each passing hour.Somehow I got 2 510 caps instead of the 801 cap I wanted but Buzzkill responded very quickly and mailed me an 801 cap.I have used the unit with a IKV HV 306 and it performs well but i'm an 801 guy so I can't wait to try my IKV 801's when I get the cap.The other issue I had was dirt.I spent a good 20mins with Q-tips and cleaner removing the leftover dirt from machining from the caps and device threads. There were even small pieces of metal chips down the pcb end which worried me.The device itself seems strong so far and has had no issues while vaping.I'm using AW ICR-123 3.7v 750mah batteries and have got 8+ hours out of them so far at 5+ volts.I think what I like the most about the BP is the lack of heat in the unit when chain vaping,it seems pretty efficient.

Glad you like it. The original buzz was known as a rock solid vv pv, and the improvements in the bp kick it up a notch. I went infinity for my first vv because of the easy to use wheel adjust and lack of clutter, since spinning the wheel and pushing the button is all I want to do with a pv; bp has that same simple user interface :)

Yeah, that was the thing that I noticed the most. I thought I had an issue with mine as far as battery life went but it turns out that I was getting a short at the connecter. I believe that there was something either on the carto connecter or the Buzz connecter that was causing an intermittent short leading me to believe that the batteries had died. After realizing this and clearing the short I'm getting 9+ hours on a charge from old ... batteries I had from my GLV. Not bad. I used to get a predictable 6 hours on the same batts in my OB so I've realized a 50% improvement in battery life. I like it! :)

I have to agree on the lack of heat as well. My carto will get hot but not the Buzz. My Omega running at 6v (which is meant to be used at 3.7v, but I'm a rebel lol) would get warm when I chain vaped. Hell, my 6v flashlight will get hot if I leave it on too long. The Buzz can double duty as a cold compress by comparison.

Side Note: The chrome end caps are definitely conductive. I was swapping in new batteries this morning and noticed small electrical sparks when I was starting the threads. It only happens when the edge of the cap touches the edge of the tube just right.

That DIRT on the bottom cap was a grease we put on it ! LOL !

if there was dirt any where else OUR BAD , Terri is responsible for making sure all units are clean and pretty before packing them and she does a good job at it ( neqat freak ) so ??? not sure what happened otherwise.

I think I have a bad set of batteries. I need to mark them to make sure, but I had another real short run time (compared to the rest of my run times) without the batteries being marked, I don't know if I grabbed the pair that I used the last time the time seemed shorter then others or if there is more then one set not performing like the rest! I will mark the batteries and see.
