Can't decide on what finish to get for my next device. They both look good. I had a stainless steel Twist before that I really liked but it broke. The chrome also looks nice and shiny, but it looks like it could get fingerprints pretty easily. I can't decide. Anyone have a preference out of the two?

Stainless Steel.... So your Twist broke...thats par for the course, ny freind has gone thru 4 of them in the last 5 months...Could of had a Provari for that money...Always button issues with the Twist....

Well then! Stainless steel it is. I was going to get a Vision Spinner 1300mah or something like that... not looking for anything too big or fancy and I don't really like dealing with removable batteries. My SS Twist lasted quite a long time... almost a year and a half? And it broke because I dropped it one too many times. Given, I'm not a very heavy vaper (maybe 2ml a day?) so that probably helped its life too... but dang I dropped that thing a lot! My pink Twist is still going strong... well.. it's probably near the end of it's life too. I've dropped that one a lot as well and I've definitely had it for at LEAST 8 months.

Stainless steel is my choice. A brushed finish on the stainless steel is best as it does not show fingerprints easily and provides more grip than a gloss finish. A high gloss stainless steel will look very much like chrome plate. My brushed stainless steel E-Power 14650 has held up very well with a year and a half of heavy use.

The brushed stainless steel is often given a clear coat. Some of the clear coat is wearing on the E-Power but this is not very noticeable. The rest of the E-Power is plated copper (copper is often chosen for heat and electrical conductivity. It's a lot softer than stainless steel and the platings (nickel, I think) will wear off under heavy use. Most plated PVs don't last long enough to show this kind of wear.

I've noted I too have the dropsies with my spinners and other ego batteries .... but never with my vamo or mech mods. Think maybe due to they're size & weight they're just easier to handle than the thin batteries. I usually use the mods with the small 18350 battery, so they're about the same length as the spinner, but the weight & thickness fit my bear claw sized hands better.
