I reuse these bottles over and over with DIY juice and over time they get "creases" in them resulting in spots where it is easier to squeeze the bottle. I imagine that this results in weak spots where the bottle will eventually break. Has this happened to anyone? Is it a sudden and catastrophic failure resulting in a big mess, or does it start as a little leak giving you enough time to transfer to another bottle?

Then use ziplocks or quit being a cheapskate.

That was a good answer that caught me by surprise. LOL. I don't reuse the bottles that commercial juice comes in because they're all different shapes, sizes, and colors. As part of stocking up I got cases of 120 ml and 30 ml clear PET CG bottles for uniformity. So I spent the requisite money!

The softer LDPE bottles do seem like a good idea, though. Guess I'll use these up and maybe not squeeze them so hard. If one does break, I will provide a full engineering report.

I know what you mean. I haven't had one break on me yet though. Got a couple that look questionable but so far so good.

I'm another limp wristed who uses the ldpe chubby gorilla bottles. Along with the ez-squeezy the top caps are sooooooooooooo much easier to slide out with a finger nail.

Only downside to the 60ml ldpe bottle, compared to the 60ml PET bottle is the mouth is half the size. So I've had to learn how to pour more straightly.

Today I was reusing an old gorilla bottle and I do quick steeps by microwaving water in a cup and get it boiling then putting the bottle in there for 3-4 minutes.. First and LAST time I do that with a gorilla bottle ahahah.. it didn't fail but it won't sit up straight now.. Gotta remember to use my glass 60mls for the quick steeps..

Not too sure boiling water is needed, or a good idea, regardless of bottle material. Hot tap water should do up until it cools off.

All my VG/PG/Nic/Flavors are in a very cold fridge I've tested the temp of the juice being in boiling water and it gets to 135 degrees max which is where I heard the fast steeping is best at.. I did an A/B test on a fast steep to a 2 week steep on a complex tobacco recipe and they came out almost identical.. The shake and vape version is easily identifiable though.
