Still fairly new , to this vape thing , and just bought a Chuck , off the classifieds here . Now starting to hear alot of complaints , about the switch . Has anybody , figured out a way to replace the switch , with something a bit more reliable ????? Heard , Jeff , has a fast turn around on these , but a better switch , might keep it in action , instead of returning for repairs . Thanks

A wider, low profile switch would be less vulnerable but it would interfere with the design and the customizable look of Chucks is one of the features.

If you are handy, there are posts from people who are able to replace their own switches. If I can find it, I'll add a link to this.

As with all mods, the button can get gunked up. After all, you will spend a lot of time with your hands all over it, often when they have e-liquid on them. That's no biggie. As for breakage, the buttons might break a bit more often than some low profile ones, but it's not a chronic thing. You aren't going to need to replace your switch every month. I've got my Little Chuck in March 2010 and it still has it's original switch (although I did manage to strip my 510 connector -- which Jeff replaced.) My big Chuck came at the end of January this year and it, too, still has it's original switch.

ETA: People just talk about when the switches break because, as a rule, nothing else on a Chuck ever does.

De-gunking the switch (not a bad idea for any manual PV from time to time)

tonypilot7 gave his Chuck a new switch and a new cover. Here's his step-by-step

If it is working fine, I wouldn't over worry about it. Honestly, sure they are known for some switch troubles, I say some. My first one is well over a year old. It is my daily device and it gets the tar beat out of it. Can't count how many times it has hit the concrete floor etc. Still works like a champ. You see, the occasional switch malfunction is the only thing anyone can complain about because these things are bullet proof and folks gotta find something to pick at.

Trust me, I have a tiny box mod for my hubby and I personally think the chuck switch is way better than the one on his dinky mod hands down and the design gives better overall protection to the bats etc. Except for hubby's, I can't compare much to anything but my old, don't own them anymore, 510's. I refuse to use any other mod out there!

Use it and enjoy it. If you should have any trouble with it, rest assured, unlike a lot of mod vendors out there, Jeff will take care of it for you with no trouble at all. Slap some 3V's and a carto on it and you'll wonder what took you so long to get one! :)

I think Jeff should make them with two switches.
The switches would last twice as long.
Jeff would have to repair our chucks half as often.
Am i making sense? or is this a silly proposal?

He could also make them automatic. Then there wouldn't be any switch at all. The only problem would be getting experienced vapers to buy them.

I apologize in advance but I went straight to the gutter on this one and just figured that no, you are not making sense but that you have a boob fetish.

Yep

I know I can send it in for a repair, but i'm just too lazy and don't want to part with my beloved chuck for a week or two. Besides, squeezing the contacts together gives me more consistent hits than the switch ever did. Chuck was about 3/4 year old when the switch gave up on me.

And yes, I'll attest to the sturdyness of this thing other than the switch. This guy has met concrete at high velocity many many times and is still kickin'.
