so, I'm really liking some new cigar flavors I've been making, but they tend to have more of a "bite" to them that I'd prefer...I like the general taste of the cigar flavors and I'm not making my mixes too strong in my opinion...is there any other flavor concentrates that I can add that wont terribly change the taste of a cigar mix, but would make the taste smoother and less harsh and tone down that cigar "bite"? and I am already adding MTS vape Wizard into my tobaccos so that does seem to help. and I did try to add some other flavors in like creams and vanillas and caramels, but those flavors kinda just ruined the taste of the cigar juice in my opinion...how do I smooth out my cigar flavors?

Reduce your NIC strength. I found at 18mg my tobacco mixes were to harsh I reduced it to 12mg and wow what a difference in taste. It was far less harsh and much smoother and the tobacco flavor really shined through. As an ex smoker I thought the reduction would give me fits but that wasn't the case. I guess after stopping for a year my body doesen't need as much as I used to need.

my two cigar mixes are FA Cuban supreme and FA Tuscan reserve...I use 50/50 bases at 12 nic level, and I'm using about 2.5 percent cigar flavoring so im pretty sure my flavoring percentage is not too strong....I was using a higher percentage of flavoring awhile back and they were WAY too strong so I dropped it to 2.5 percent...and I'm adding 5 drops of MTS vape wizard per 15 mil bottle...and letting them steep for one week.

I'm using about 2.5 percent cigar flavoring

I make cigar flavored juice all the time. It's about the only thing I vape.

I have never used the two flavorings you mentioned, but I can't see how you can hardly even taste or smell the cigar flavor when your flavoring is just at 2.5% of your total mix.

That's really a weak weak mix of flavorings, if that's all your putting in it besides the other 97.5% unflavored PG / VG base.

New to vaping and know nothing about mixing so here's my .02 ;-) As a long time cigar aficionado, every time someone tells me they have a good cigar juice, I laugh. I found one at a local shop though which is very good. It is the only 100% VG that I enjoy. No idea if it will help you or not, but the 100% VG sure worked for them :)

Flavor art flavors are highly concentrated, I have not mixed these 2 flavors either, but from what I have read, his percentages are about right, the recommended percentage for the cuban is 1 to 3%.

I just wanted to add that, the note I have taken said that the Tuscan was used at 0.2% in one recipe.

I thought I should provide a example of a recipe, showing the low %'s I have not made this one yet, and it is not my recipe, it is somewhere in this forum, all flavor art flavors.

Tuscan cigar

In a 30 ml batch:

6 drops Desert Ship (.6%)
2 drops Tuscan reserve (.2%)
6 drops 7 Leaves (.6%)
3 drops Black fire (.3%)
3 drops Vanilla Classic (.3%)
3 drops Vape Wizard (.3%)

%'s are rounded based on 35 drops per ml. Really nice, smooth cigar vape. Enjoy!

I would like to suggest you make an unflavored sample to see if any of the harsh elements you mention are present. I have bought nic a time or two that were a bit more harsh and know others that had the same experience due to a bad batch of VG or PG. Sometimes they can "turn" on you when they were fine a week ago.

While I normally use cigar/tobacco Inawera flavorings, I mixed up some FA Cuban Supreme 6 days ago. I used 2.8% flavoring 46/50 pg/vg with some water & saline 18mg VT U.K. If anything, I too might drop my next batch to 2.5%.

Often I'll mix some different INW cigar mixes together with some cigar NET in a Kayfun light. Yesterday I added some of that 5 day old FA Cuban to the blend. Around 1/3rd. Right off I could get that throat hit/bite you mentioned that normally would not be present in past blends.

I dripped a bit and also got some good throat hit. A wee bit more than I enjoy. The FA reminded me of a green tobacco flavor I would get in the past from some A&C cigars but not a big cigar flavor overall. I like it and think it will work well in future tobacco mixes & blends.

I'm not going to add anything until I revisit it in 3 or so more weeks.

I've never tried the FA Tuscan...

Personally, I've found that most of the FA flavors have a harsh hit to them. There's nothing that I've been able to do to solve this, so I just use them sparingly. I've weeded them out of my recipes as thoroughly as possible. Nothing against FA. They have alot of great flavors and most people love them, but the way they interact with me just doesn't work out.

these two cigar flavors seem to mellow out the more they steep...FA flavors are always strong as I have quite a bit experience with many of FA other tobacco flavors...they are all strong until about one to two weeks of good steeping. I havnt re-tested these cigars vapes yet, but im gonna vape them tonight or tomarrow and see where they are now. I was hoping somebody had a magic flavor of some kind that I could just add to cigar mixes to make them smoother !!!
