Cinder Ella - First time I had to pick it up at Canada Post - New?

Having trouble with customer support and am wondering if something changed with the shipping process. I was charged $18.29 at a Canada Post pick-up. This has never happened before, package was always in my mailbox.


Shipping & Handling paid ONLINE with order: $21.05
Canada Post Pick-Up: $18.29




Total of $39.34 in shipping. Does that make sense to you? Jersey is only 4 hours away by car from Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Thank you for any clarification.

YEah, I wait for a sale on Juice and/or hardware before ordering replacement hardware to lessen the blow. Luckily, there's an excellent Canadian supplier of Halo juice who gives free shipping for orders of $150 + and only $9.99 for under. They are actually cheaper per bottle than Halo too. Don't know how he does it but, whatevah. I had to order new VV's, coils and tanks so I ordered from Halo on this one with the sale. Unfortunately, my Canadian Halo juice supplier won't be getting into the H/W side of things but am grateful for the juice. Just need Halo for the H/W so... once or twice a year.

In light of Canada's changes, I have a suggestion, Cinder:

How about offering the Cost Savings your National customers receive, "Free Shippingon Ordersover $75", to Canadians. Charge us the extra bit for crossing the border, possible extra packaging etc... and, of course, we then get nailed with the Canada Post pick-up charge. That would be helpful, but don't know if feasible/practical....

Brokerage fees. You don't usually get it with mail, just couriers like Fedex.
