I think i've finally nailed down why some of my flavors have a 'fresh out of the can' flavor. I had made a cinnamon pear flavor and it tasted like pear's straight out of a can, so i blamed the pear. I just added my cinnamon red hot flavor to flavor art's black currant cause it was missing something. Now i'm getting that canned flavor again after adding the cinnamon!!!! URGH. Has anyone else experienced this? Or is it just my taste buds and i should trade away my cinnamon?

Cinnamon hot shots is my fav i mix it @ 15% in a 100%VG mix but i have never had a "out of the can taste" very strong but maybe just your taste buds.
Ive mixed the hotshots at 5% with Fart's apple pie but wouldn't say i got that taste from it.

Have you left the mix to settle for 3-5 days before vaping as i find that's when you get the true taste.

you're probably picking out the eugenol (clove) component of TPA redhots - i'm vaping on it now, and i could see you picking it out especially if it's weak - try kicking it up a notch (wait, i don't know if that's a good idea...yeah, another cinnamon might work better- hahahaha)

i had it mixed with menthol and wasn't really happy either (but am not a menthol person normally, just need to order some supplies), but it was ok...just prefer it without menthol if i'm going to vape it (wish i could think of another flavor it would mix with but, maybe something that takes off on the clove on purpose...? dunno - i have another 85 ml to vape of what i have mixed

So funny you mentioned menthol cause i tried making a cinnamon menthol mint flavor which is first what brought me to think it might be the cinnamon that had that strange tin can flavor. When i added it to my other fruit flavor i was sure. I have very sensitive taste buds, so i cant go to high on the percentages of one peticular flavor..4 flavors at 5% yes, but one flavor at 20%, no. I recently ordered just straight up cinnamon from TPA which i got today, smells really good. Gonna have to give it a whirl. =D
