circle of ceramic in atty

I just ordered a new atty and when it arrived I was happy because my faithful atty I have is starting to get a burnt taste and no cleaning is getting rid of it and I've trimmed the fibers and it's still there. Well this new atty I got is the one with the circle of ceramic in the atty instead of the oval shape. It seems to not hit as good as the oval shaped ones. Anyone else have a preference or know where I can still find the old oval shaped ones?

I don't have experience with the new circle attys, but it is my understanding that only a few vendors are selling them. I think innovapor had them, but stopped selling them for similar reasons as you state. The ones I got from TW recently are the old oval type. If the vendor calls them Joye, they should be the originals.

But I'm wondering if the reason the original one of yours is giving a burned taste is not because it is not wicking properly. Trimming the wick fibers would generally make it wick worse not better, unless you only drip. Is it doing this if you drip? If so, then it is the atty.

What cleaning methods have you tried? I use Crest Health Pro followed by lots of hot water flushing, and this works great for getting gunk out. There are many cleaning methods posted here, from rubbing alcohol to just blowing the atty out, with about 1000 methods in between.

You are clearly not a noob, so please don't take my questions offensively. :)

I've tried all different types of cleaning but the most succesfull ways I've had was just rinse in a stream of hot water for about a minute then dry it out, do a couple dry burns then drip a some liquid on it and vape away. The wick from the bridge is actually curled along the walls of the atty it has become very long and it's looking kind of burnt. Yes I do drip can't get any filler material that I'm happy with and they seem to weaken the throat hit a little bit.

The circle atty is alright, but not as much throat hit as the oval attys and with 3 drips of liquid on the circle atty it doesn't get as many hits off of it as the ovals.

They supposed live longer than the ovals, but frankly its hard to say how long the ovals last...1 week to 6 months. But there have been far more complaints than praises about the circles, so you probably would want to just get more ovals. I don't get the idea that the circles are going to have market staying power anyway.

As for fills, I use the zero-filler mod almost exclusively now, as any sponge or poly filler just ends up hogging juice. But since dripping is also giving you problems, this may not help.

Who did you order from? Maybe call them?
