Slightly annoyed... my brand new Cisco 510 LR died this morning without warning. I followed directions, didn't flood, didn't dry burn it, and it died without a pop. Only used one juice on it, TV Tastyfinger. Blew it out just to make sure it wasn't flooded, nothing. Tried soaking it and drying it out, nothing. Good thing I got two of them. I love the taste and performance but I better get more than 24 hrs use out of the 2nd one, these things aren't cheap. :(

Yes you can kill a Cisco. I have done it in under 24 hours. The culprit is usually chain vaping. All the Cisco atty's (yes I have tried all of them) perform really well and my goto is the 306. I have found that they do not like to be run dry and that chain vaping is a sure way to kill them. If you can not place your finger against the metal tube on a 510 then you are running it way to hot. Also let it cool a bit prior to rejuicing. I have a theory that thermal shock is a killer too. If the coil is really hot and you hit it with cold juice it is contracting rather quickly. Doing this repeatedly will shorten the life and the coil will break at its weakest spot. Usually at the first coil turn. This is much esaier to see on a 306 and in fact by pinching the coil I have been able to bring a few back to life. With that said treating them correctly I now get 6+ weeks out of my Ciscos.
