Greetings!

I've been using Reo+Cisco combo for a few years now and usually my atomizers last a couple of months. Lately I've been having to swap them out after around two weeks of use.

I haven't changed juice (I use unflavored from ecigexpress.com and just mix my own flavors). At first I thought it was because my draws were too long (~5 seconds) and with not enough rest between draws, so I tried shorter draws spaced further apart, but atomizers are still dying. Some have completely died, others have massively dropped in performance.

I use mostly 1.5ohm 306s but sometimes 510s too, and my Reo is a Mini 2.0.

Has Avid Vaper / Cisco gone sour or have I just been unlucky with a bad batch? Anyone experiencing similar issues?

I haven't taken the dive with learning about rebuildable atomizers... I kind of quit while I was ahead (found a good atty/juice combo)... are rebuildable ones probably worth the effort economically etc?

Rickajho should pop in here at some point. He's the resident expert on the prebuilt bridgeless scene. Maybe PM him if you're not getting the info you need through this thread.

Myself, I keep a hh.357 around in my travel case as calamity insurance, but haven't needed to use it for about a year.

I would explore the world of rebuildable atty.
They are really not an overwhelming learning curve. You an buy a RM2 for $40 and will last you forever. Regarding economics, after the initial purchase of the atty, the cost of a spool of wire and wicking is CHEAP. It will also open a whole new vaping experience! You can really fine tune your vape with more or less resistance easily. No more gurgling, flooding, bad batches etc. of atties. Just my 2cents. :)

Oh lawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwdy this. I was vaping prebuilt bridgeless 510 attys 4 years ago and haven't touched them since. DEFINITLY look into the RM2 and how easy it is to build. You'll be getting 10x more flavor and vapor.

Until you are ready for rebuildables you can try these over Cisco's Empiremods Bridge Free LR510 1.5ohm or any Rob sells. I used to be the Cisco Kid but found Empiremods attys as good and cheaper.

Yeah, will need something to vape while I read rebuildable info/tutorials and decide on another mod to order while I order rebuildable supplies, lol :l (ta redeyedancer)

Check out Drifter's tutorial on RM2 coil build, very easy!
Remember the days when the 510 cartridges were pre filled and had to puncture the aluminum foil to get juice, then the LR 1.5 cartos came out and it was a game changer? Well that's what it's like changing from a 306 atty to a RM2! Progress is a beautiful thing when welcomed. 8tracks - Cassettes- CD- I tune downloads. :)

Something to be said about the flavour and hit from a bottom air flow /ceramic cup atty (IE 306/510). They deliver IMHO.

Perhaps take a peek at the eBarron Spiral. (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/357438-ebaron-dripper-spiral-rba.html)
It's kind of a rebuildable/ replaceable coil (pre assembled cups/wicks/coils) 306 or 510.
All the advantages of a 306/510 with replaceable guts. Multiple premade resistances to choose from and If you feel froggy, VERY easy to re coil and re-wick using DIRT cheap supplies.

Have fun

Thanks for info everyone (ie. the bump in the RBA direction)

It does look very simple. Luckily my juice preference is light so I can't foresee having to replace coil/wick annoyingly often.

It's still baffling me how all of a sudden these Ciscos are not lasting. Sometimes they would literally last for a few months of excellent performance. Maybe it's an omen.

(Probably not the ideal thread for this question but...), would it be possible to "pre-roll" a bunch of coils so they're ready to just slot into the posts when a coil swap is needed? Or will they just become loose if left without mold/screws/whatever. I know that's not the idea behind RBAs - each time you can change up how you build it - it's just a thought. I do it with juice - I'll spend the time up front filling 10 bottles so I can grab and go.

Or I'll just learn how to not be a lazy vaper, heh :)

I used to vape 306 atomizers for 2+ years and I recognized quality differences too.
Good one would last for more than 6 month, others barely made it beyond doa.
One Charge was really bad, with one 306 performing good and five other just dying on me.
I always used same model and supplier here in Germany.
They seem to have rather high production tolerances.
I finally switched to RM2 and never looked back.
