Just picked up a LR306 1.5ohm for my Reo Mini.

Basically, it's burning. I haven't had a single good drag, no matter how much I squonk. I've tried taking unpowered pulls to draw liquid up, tried lighter/stronger pulls, nothing. It's so dry that you hear it sizzling even after the switch is released.

Help!

Should I dewick the thing?

You may have a lower ohm atomizer then 1.5 I bet its closer to 1.2

I just metered it on my Provari, comes out to 1.5ohms on the dot. I actually never had a burning problem with the 1ohm 306 that I used last time, though it was debridged and dewicked.

Edit:

Cool to see Rob himself give me a response on here :p

It could just be a bad atomizer if its not getting the proper air flow it will over heat and burn your juice .

Well, it's bad again.

After dewicking it, it worked great. It wicked perfectly and kept up with heavy vaping.

2 days later... it burns on every damn hit. It just doesn't wick properly anymore. I have to take 1-2 second drags just to use it, before it burns again.

Next step?

Maybe debridge it?

I've tried an alcohol bath, it helped for about 20 minutes.

Toss it. It's a $9.00 atomizer that has caused you enough grief already. It's time to break in a new atomizer.

Meh...it's less than a week old...

What's strange is that on a fresh 14500, it burns. As the battery dies, it starts to work perfectly. I'm not sure if my resistance got lower on the thing because of a short, I'll go check that.

I may as well try a debridge and see how it works while I pick up a different atty.

That could be...it's happened to me before when I had an atty dying on me. I had one that was supposed to be a 2.5 and when I noticed it causing problems, I metered it and it read 1.2.

When I was using Cisco's...I only had that happen to me about 2 times in 18 months. So it's not too common. I would put another atty on there and see how it goes.
