Sadly, the manufacturers are behind the culture, as per usual. The only one I know selling spools of fused claptons is Lightning Vapes. Should be a great option with the 36ga wrap. Unfortunately it looks like they're out of stock right now.

I prefer clapton wires, better flavor, better vapor production. But I've tried premade claptons (Comp Wire by Wofoto) and I prefer my the ones I build myself. There is a bit of a learning curve, but when you get it down, it ends up looking like this.

That is 24/32, the dual coils are currently in my Griffin, .3Ω and I am running them at 90W. I have a poor attempt at a fused clapton in my TFV4 (works great, just not pretty) and the flavor for a single coil is on par with a decent dual coil build in something like an Orchid, Billow V2 (may it rest in peace) or Zephyrus. And it is close to the dual claptons in the Griffin.

Just today i tried some claptons again in my tsunami and i really not sure if all the downsides are worth it.

I ran simple 0.4mm SS built 3.5mm coils the last weeks @ ~0.3ohm in temp mode it was just a really simple quality vape.Instant ramp up, no issues with an empty juice well, massive vapor as well..

Now the claptons are just basic prebuilt 26/32 wire and they taste bit better then the worn out rayon and dirty coils i had in there before ofc but the huge rampup, hot atomizer and risk of burning stuff are big downsides...

Once i find a shop that sells quality fused claptons in germany i will try them cause im WAY too lazy to build em myself. But i think in a few days ill throw the current build out agains and just go with basic SS in temp mode again..

I've just started making fused claptons, they're far superior to regular claptons. I use nichrome 80 26awg cores with kanthal 36awg wrapped around them. The ramp up time is pretty fast using the nichrome.
Now since your coils aren't Kanthal, do you "have" to use temp mode on these?

Kanthal fused claptons are back in stock!

Just wanted to add, if you or anyone else are DIY inclined, wrapping fused claptons is actually pretty easy and fast, if you have a drill and what I call the Janky Jig :) All you need is a bit of plywood, a few screws, a rubber tipped compressor inflator, and a .79 cent clamp from Harbor Frieght. You can also buy one here for $26, but where's the fun in that? :cool:Clapton Jig Rig v2

The trick is to make it as light as possible, so the whole contraption scoots backwards as you wind the wire. I used the really small clamp from HF. Two screws on the side keep the wood secured to the clamp, another screw in the middle gives the wire spool something to rotate on, the rubber thing is something I found to give a constant slight tension to the spool.

Here's a video of how it works...

...and some pics of the finished product. These are 25ga kanthal wrapped with 36ga nichrome80. 4mm inner diameter (!), 7 wraps. Only difference was how I set the jig up, to get the spacing. The non-spaced build is vastly superior, from the same tank. Since everything else about the coils were the same, that's proof enough for me as to how well claptons work!
